Remodel completed 10/2016 Pinetree-Quaint West Shore Cabin in North Lake Tahoe

Bedrooms 2
Space 1,200 sq. ft.
Property type cabin
Minimum Stay 1 - 2 nights

About the property

Cabin, 2 Bedrooms + Loft, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 6)

This is a cabin on a quarter acre corner lot. There is also a quarter acre lot next to it that is for use with the cabin. The lot is filled with beautiful trees and has a large in ground fire pit, so just pull the chairs up and enjoy roasting marshmallows in the great outdoors. There is also a horse shoe pit and a wonderful hammock to enjoy the outside. The three adjacent lots behind the property is a green belt. Lots of privacy.

The cabin is two bedrooms one bathroom with loft and sleeps six max. All sleeping areas are upstairs(the stairs are narrow and have a turn in them). There is only a fold out queen sleeper downstairs. The bathroom is located on the bottom floor.

The cabin is walking distance to the lake and Sugar Pine National Park. You have to try the Tahoma markets deli sandwiches. You've never tasted anything like them. Then take a walk to the kids play ground and enjoy your meal while the kids play. In the summer, they have an outside theatre in Tahoe City. Just pick up a Tahoma Weekley for the movie listings. It's great family fun. Homewood ski resort is about a mile away and we're located in between both casino areas of the Nevada State Line and South Lake Tahoe. A short distance to Sunny Side Restaurant.

You may also enjoy the other ski resorts that are located about 20 minutes away. Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadow.

Summer also offers endless bike and hiking trails. A short drive to one of Tahoe's most beautiful beaches at Meeks Bay, featuring various boat rentals, a snack bar and free air station for your inflatables. We made sure our cabin is part of Tahoma's homeowner’s association which offers a pier and beach within a short walking distance. Sugar Pine Point State Park is just yards away for great cross country skiing, hiking and mountain biking. The entrance to the world famous Rubicon Trail is also a close distance from our cabin. Come enjoy all the fun that awaits you in Tahoma year round.

NO smoking inside property.

Cozy Cabin

  • 5 of 5

My family and I have been renting this cabin for the past seven years. Although I have never met the owner in person I feel like I have known her for years. She is always gets right back to you if you have a questions. We are a family of 5 and we fit perfectly. Many fun things to do in the area. We are looking for our stay next year.

Charming and clean

  • 4 of 5

This cabin was comfortable, clean and quiet which is exactly what I was looking for. Great location for Homewood and Squaw Valley. One thing to keep in mind is the stairwell and access to bedrooms is quite narrow and steep which was hard for some members of my family. However, that being said I would definitely rent again.

Very nice, cozy cabin

  • 3 of 5

We enjoyed our visit for one night in this nicely renovated cabin. The downstairs is fabulous and had everything we needed. Beautiful stone work, appliances and very organized with plenty of games for the family. The upstairs was cozy and included a private balcony in Master. The wifi was not working however and the fireplace pilot light emitted warmth even though it was already extremely hot in this cabin without air conditioning. Thank you for providing the fans!! Air finally cooled around 2:00 am, so it was a hot night upstairs. The cool mornings were fantastic and a welcome relief. The yellow jackets prevented us from enjoying the front porch for meals, but the views of trees nearby were a pleasure to look at with a glass of evening wine and morning coffee. The kids loved the swing, hammock and toys in the large side yard with fire pit. If we had more time we would have definitely enjoyed staying longer and have a campfire with smores! Very close to Sugar Pine Point and nearby Tahoma stores, pizza place and Post Office.

A Second Stay

  • 5 of 5

This is my second stay at Pinetree in Tahoma and I cannot say enough about the remodel that has been done. The kitchen is a cooks dream! From Mac-n-Cheese to a 7-Course Meal; this kitchen is fully equipped with top of the line appliances and has everything you could need! The bathroom went from standard to a true oasis! Instant hot water, powerful shower, roomy and heat control for those cold winter days. We shared great family time on the front deck playing games (they have a wide variety of latest board and card games) ~ relaxed in the hammock and took advantage of the large fire pit while sipping a nice glass of wine! We walked daily to the Lake, enjoyed the amazing PDQ deli and Sunnyside Restaurant was just a short drive. Great centrally located cabin for all of Tahoe ~ You will not be disappointed when you decide to hang your head here for a relaxing get away! Thank you for opening your home to us! We'll be back again!

This house was great for a girls trip with a pup. I loved the games the homeowners provided and the cozy living area. The bedrooms are all very close to one another. You have to walk through one to get yo the other two. It didn't bother us, but probably not ideal for other situations. The bed in the master was pretty comfortable. My girlfriends said the other beds were really uncomfortable and squeaky. Also, we liked the wooded area, but it's not walking distance to any restaurants.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. I'm glad you enjoyed your girls weekend. Just to be clear, the area you are referring to as a "bedroom", having to walk through the "bedroom" to get to the other rooms, is a loft, landing, at the top of the stairs. You do not have to walk through a bedroom to get to another bedroom. The cabin is listed as 2 bedrooms with loft. Please see pictures on website that clearly shows the loft and the door's to the other bedroom's. There are two separate bedrooms, no need to walk through a "bedroom," to go into the other "bedroom". There is West Side Pizza(open for lunch and dinner)that's within walking distance from the cabin(0.78 miles from the cabin) . There is also the local market that has a wonderful deli for lunch that is also within walking distance(0.89 miles from the cabin). I'm sorry that you didn't notice the two eatery's that you didn't need to drive. The second bedroom is getting a new mattress once the snow is gone, thank you for letting us know, I do sleep in the master myself and appreciate the information.
