Overview

About the property

Cabin, 2 Bedrooms + Loft, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 6)

This is a cabin on a quarter acre corner lot. There is also a quarter acre lot next to it that is for use with the cabin. The lot is filled with beautiful trees and has a large in ground fire pit, so just pull the chairs up and enjoy roasting marshmallows in the great outdoors. There is also a horse shoe pit and a wonderful hammock to enjoy the outside. The three adjacent lots behind the property is a green belt. Lots of privacy.

The cabin is two bedrooms one bathroom with loft and sleeps six max. All sleeping areas are upstairs(the stairs are narrow and have a turn in them). There is only a fold out queen sleeper downstairs. The bathroom is located on the bottom floor.

The cabin is walking distance to the lake and Sugar Pine National Park. Take a walk to the kids play ground and enjoy a meal while the kids play. In the summer, they have an outside theatre at the park (check for dates and movies posted on park sign) and in Tahoe City, pick up a Tahoma Weekley for the Tahoe City movie listings. It's great family fun. Homewood ski resort is about a mile away and we're located in between both casino areas of the Nevada State Line and South Lake Tahoe. A short distance to Sunny Side Restaurant.

You may also enjoy the other ski resorts that are located about 20 minutes away. Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadow.

Summer also offers endless bike and hiking trails. A short drive to one of Tahoe's most beautiful beaches at Meeks Bay, featuring various boat rentals, a snack bar and free air station for your inflatables. We made sure our cabin is part of Tahoma's homeowner’s association which offers a pier and beach within a short walking distance. Sugar Pine Point State Park is just yards away for great cross country skiing, hiking and mountain biking. The entrance to the world famous Rubicon Trail is also a close distance from our cabin. Come enjoy all the fun that awaits you in Tahoma year round.

Please note: WE DO NOT REFUND DUE TO WEATHER. ONLY IF ROADS CLOSE AND THERE IS NO WAY OF GETTING TO TAHOE. WE ALSO DO NOT REFUND FOR LATE CANCELLATIONS DUE TO MEDICAL, FAMILY OR BUSINESS EMERGENCIES OR OTHER UNEXPECTED EVENTS.

Wonderful property!

  • 5 of 5

They thought of everything you might need. The only downside is the steep twisty stairs which were hard to navigate.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the review, the stairs are steep and do have one turn in them. I really try to have full disclosure for guest hence the two pictures of the stairs in the listing. We really tried to come up with a way to lay them out differently when we did a full remodel last year, buy unfortunately, there was no other way. Sincerely, Bonnie Naulty Owner

Awesome time!!!!!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I just spent a great time at the cabin. Its location in the most beautiful west part of Tahoe and the house being so well equipped were a good benefit. We couldn't ask for a better place to enjoy the Tahoe summer outdoors life and we spent load of time seating outside on the deck having breakfast and dinner or gather around the fire pit at night. I definitely recommend this cabin to anyone who wants to discover the really quieter Tahoe away from hustle and bustle of the south and east Tahoe.

Cozy Cabin

  • 5 of 5

My family and I have been renting this cabin for the past seven years. Although I have never met the owner in person I feel like I have known her for years. She is always gets right back to you if you have a questions. We are a family of 5 and we fit perfectly. Many fun things to do in the area. We are looking for our stay next year.

Charming and clean

  • 4 of 5

This cabin was comfortable, clean and quiet which is exactly what I was looking for. Great location for Homewood and Squaw Valley. One thing to keep in mind is the stairwell and access to bedrooms is quite narrow and steep which was hard for some members of my family. However, that being said I would definitely rent again.

Very nice, cozy cabin

  • 3 of 5

We enjoyed our visit for one night in this nicely renovated cabin. The downstairs is fabulous and had everything we needed. Beautiful stone work, appliances and very organized with plenty of games for the family. The upstairs was cozy and included a private balcony in Master. The wifi was not working however and the fireplace pilot light emitted warmth even though it was already extremely hot in this cabin without air conditioning. Thank you for providing the fans!! Air finally cooled around 2:00 am, so it was a hot night upstairs. The cool mornings were fantastic and a welcome relief. The yellow jackets prevented us from enjoying the front porch for meals, but the views of trees nearby were a pleasure to look at with a glass of evening wine and morning coffee. The kids loved the swing, hammock and toys in the large side yard with fire pit. If we had more time we would have definitely enjoyed staying longer and have a campfire with smores! Very close to Sugar Pine Point and nearby Tahoma stores, pizza place and Post Office.

Owner's Response: Sarah, Sorry to hear the yellow jackets spoiled your time, we have started handing yellow jacket traps when it's that time of the season. I wish you would have contacted me about the wifi, perhaps there could have been an easy solution. I have found the best way to deal with Tahoe summers in the cabin is to open the windows in the early morning. Once you have the cabin cool, close the windows and try not to leave the front door open. This will keep the cabin at a comfortable temp for the evening and throughout the day. The fans have been a life saver for me as well, however, my husband complains he freezing...lol:/ Sincerely, Bonnie Naulty Owner
