You have to see this place!
Five-star reviews are great, and pictures are incredibly helpful on VRBO, too. However, sometimes the number of stars is not truly indicative of a place, and the pictures don't do it justice. This is when you need someone who has witnessed it first hand to tell you, "Go here! Choose this place for your getaway. You will not regret this!"
The farmhouse is unique, charming, and the perfect amount of modern. My friends and I loved the stylish furnishings, comfortable beds, and gorgeous stained-glass windows. The clawfoot tub didn't hurt either. We found ourselves on the large screened-in porch in the evenings. We watched fireflies, drank coffee, played games, and laughed loudly. We were surrounded by beautiful landscape. My personal favorite was the Hydrangeas. We even dipped our toes in the creek and let it cool us off from the June sun. When we were finished outside, we made our way inside to watch movies on the Roku. Honestly, I wish we had not planned a day trip to Blue Ridge while on our vacation. I would have been just fine spending my time at the cabin, reading a book in the Adirondack chair by the firepit. This place is the perfect choice! If I find myself in this area again, this will be the first place I check for availability.
The owner was attentive from day one before I even rented the cabin. She answered any question I had. The check-in/check-out process was easy. Thank you again, Misti, for sharing your little piece of perfection with the world.
Lovely and relaxing home
We stayed in this home for 3 days and it was not enough! I wish we had more. The home is exactly as listed. We said more than once if we could take this to our hometown we would.
The owner Misti was in contact with us a lot before and during the stay. She was very helpful whenever a question or situation would arise.
We had four of us-2 adults, 2 kids. The kids stayed upstairs and loved having their own area. I am disabled so my husband and I stayed downstairs. I didn’t have any trouble getting around. However, if you have a wheelchair you may have some trouble getting into the home (4 steps) and also the bathroom is a slimmer door. I use a cane and was fine walking around the property and on the downstairs areas.
The kids enjoyed the creek but remember to bring bug spray. You will need it down by the creek! The kitchen has everything (but food) you need. One item we didn’t think of was ice. There are 2trays you can fill but you may just want to bring a bag in a cooler. I appreciated the Brita filter in the frig. These small touches are everywhere.
We visited Amicalola falls, blue ridge, 2nd story entertainment mini golf, Helen, Anna Ruby Falls and the Toccoa River Restaurant. Try the pecan crusted trout at T.R.R. They are well known for it and have won awards. It was very yummy! If I had to say one negative thing, it would be all the driving we did. The house is absolutely lovely but since it’s more remote we spent alot of time in the car. Just plan this into your time plan if you stay here. I wish we had had more time to just relax around the home but we really enjoyed the time we had.

The home was very comfortable and property was extremely peaceful. The home was decorated really nice but still was very functional. We really enjoyed the screened in porch. I was extremely happy with the home. We’re excited that we found a home we would love to go back to. We’re talking about renting it again soon.
Perfect Spring Break Destination
We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Misti’s farmhouse. Everything about the farmhouse was perfect - beds were super comfy, large claw foot bath tub was exquisite, the style and design could have been pulled from a magazine. We spent our time down by the creek where my children played and had a wonderful time. We cooked at the farmhouse two nights and the kitchen had everything in it to help make our meals perfect. We highly recommend this farmhouse!
Hard to Leave this Creekside Farmhouse!
There are just too many uniquely beautiful features to describe in one review, but I'd be remiss if I didn't share some of our favorites: the quiet valley setting, charming farmhouse layout, plentiful porch and outdoor living spaces, a continuously babbling creek, beautifully reclaimed stained glass, brick and wood flooring, comfortable beds, lovely linens, thoughtfully furnished rooms, generous kitchen amenities, clean and cozy! So many reasons to stay in this lovingly maintained mountain home. So hard to leave! Misti's communications were welcoming, timely and helpful. Would love to return and highly recommend.
The house is fairly remote, which makes it perfectly peaceful. But, no pizza delivery. It’s about 25 minutes to downtown Ellijay, 35 minutes to downtown Blue Ridge. In between, there is hiking, tubing, fishing, waterfalls and every other kind of outdoor activities that you can think of in North Georgia. Only about 10 minutes to the Aska Wilderness. 8 miles to Springer Mountain (start of Appalachian Trial).
