About Guillermo Velez

Welcome to my native hometown of San Francisco! This fully furnished sublet will charm your extended stay with true 'San Francisco style' and fine world class flavors that can only be experienced through an upscale, historic San Francisco residence. The Buena Vista/Corona Heights district offers original Circa 1870s Victorian architecture, lovely and easy back park hikes, quaint hidden staircase walks, panoramic park * city views, international cuisine and friendly Northern California hospitality. It would give me great pleasure to share such an enchanting neighborhood and city with you in this homey accommodation.

Guillermo Velez purchased this apartment in 1991

Why Guillermo Velez chose San Francisco

Because this property backs up to what is actually a small mountain park, the apartment enjoys constant peace and quiet while still remaining centrally located to the city's bussle. Many of San Francisco's most famous neighborhoods and world-wide attractions like Haight/Ashbury, the Castro District, Twin Peaks and Golden Gate Park are all walking distance.

What makes this apartment unique

The geographical position of the this apartment is located on the perimeter of the Castro and Haight/Ashbury districts which is truly central to everywhere else in the city. Other close by districts are the Civic Center, Golden Gate Park, The Panhandle, Twin Peaks Upper Market, Japan Town and UCSF. In these districts you will find some of the most colorful original Circa 1880s Victorian architecture, world-wide cuisine, Napa Valley wine stores, farmers markets, various retail establishments, museums, shopping, movie theaters, libraries and cutting edge hospitals.

Castro rental

Simply because I don't believe in giving max stars for anything (really, how can anything be PERFECT?), I gave the next best. Loved the location. Parking on alternate trash days was challenging for US, but probably over analyzed it and a non-issue once we got it. Pictures are representative but REAL time, even better. Apartment clean and really appreciated the quality of the bath towels and linens. We did not need the help of out landlord much, but when we did, he was very prompt in getting back to us. Very accommodating in obtaining a weekly parking pass. Guillermo is methodical and organized. I appreciated that. Will be back.

We enjoyed our stay in this cozy apartment that fit our needs perfectly for our 1st wedding anniversary......convenient.....lots of neighborhood restaurants, public transportation just blocks away, or a short UBER ride to all the main attractions throughout the city. 👍👍👍👍👍

good apartment, good location, good value

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here for a week. We drove our car, and Guillermo provided us with a parking permit, but we used only public transportation the entire week, going to the Palace of the Legion of Honor, the Golden Gate Bridge, MOMA, Golden Gate Park, the Mission District, and other places as well. The apartment is clean, spacious, and well outfitted, and there is a lovely garden with seating as well. Guillermo was helpful and responsive to any questions we had. We would be glad to stay here again.

Very nice spot

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for a month's vacation in early 2016, without a car. We took full advantage of the nearby bus stops and the City's outstanding public transit system to explore San Francisco widely. The apartment is in a quiet and safe neighborhood. It's very sweet and clean, fully equipped with everything you might need for a home-away-from-home, and many added thoughtful touches. The house backs onto Coronado Heights Park, a sweet little neighborhood green spot, with easy short trails to spectacular views - and a great dog run for the neighborhood dog walkers. If you are a dog person, you will love watching them play in the large fenced off area within the park. The Randall Museum in the Park was closed for renovation while we were there unfortunately, look forward to a return visit after it re-opens. The area is hilly, but that's San Francisco. Landlord Guillermo was easy to contact and most accommodating. I'm sure we'll be back.

We spent a very relaxing week in this apartment. Guillermo's apartment matched well the description and the kitchen is well equipped. He was well reachable and helpful. The location was good and quiet. Efficient MUNI connections.

Quiet - Convenient - Oasis

  • 5 of 5

First of all - the pictures don't do it justice. It's a nice neighborhood and really nice place with good lighting. A great, gleaming bathroom, great kitchen, dining area, and really nice (sunny/shady) garden too. The master bedroom is elegant with a very attractive and comfortable bed. We stayed three nights over a weekend and had no trouble parking (didn't need the parking pass) on the somewhat hilly street.

I had expected my two teen-age kids to prefer a "hotel experience", but they were really happy to have all the space, convenience, and outdoor access. I'd be hard-pressed not to stay here every time we visit the city.
