- The home is situated on a hill top offering wonderful lake views. It is a short walk across the street to the private Country Club Association beach, and a little further to reach the public beach, and all of the fun Fontana eateries. Everything is within easy walking distance. The home's split floor plan, and lower level studio apartment allow for multi generational families to have their own private space. The upstairs bedrooms are great for guests. The lower level studio apartment is well equipped with its own refrigerator, tv, dvr, and full bath with a large walk in shower. This home is ideal for families that want to enjoy our pristine beaches, award winning eateries, the shoreline path for hiking, the farmer's markets, the wonderful summer festivals.

- 100% refund if you cancel at least 60 days before check-in.
- 50% refund (minus the service fee) if you cancel at least 30 days before check-in.

I was born in Illinois, where I lived and worked for many years. However, while growing up, I spent many lovely summers, and weekends of my childhood visiting the Lake Geneva area at a beloved aunt's house. I developed such a love of the area, that once I graduated from high school, I applied to college in Wisconsin, and upon graduation decided to make Wisconsin my permanent home. I raised two children in the Wisconsin schools, who are now very successful adults with children. Over the years, our home was developed, nurturing its gardens, and enjoying the seasonal festivities offered at the lake. My love of the area continues, and I am convinced there is no better place to live, one with nature, and its bountiful treasures.....the lake, the hiking trails, the woods, the parks, the shore line path, the rich history, the many eateries, and farmer's markets.

My husband and I have owned our home since 1992, and have created many memories on the lake with our family. Our now adult children, and grandchildren visit regularly, and enjoy all seasons in our home with its great location, and easy access to the lake and the many fun things to do in Fontana, and the surrounding Lake Geneva area.
What makes this house unique
The home is situated on a hilltop setting, very private, and serene, and yet directly across the street from the glorious lake. The easy access to the lake is what makes our home so special in all seasons. Fontana really thrives in the summer with its pristine beaches, kept immaculately clean, and many summer festivities. On the east end of the lake is Lake Geneva, which has its own spirited vibe, and many wonderful eateries, shops, farmer's markets, theatres, and activities. We particularly enjoy the shore line path. It is a path that completely surrounds the lake, around 21 miles in total. We hike the path, usually in quarter sections, but on more ambitious days, we have hiked half or the entire length of the path. We usually start in Fontana, directly across the street, and hike 9 miles to Lake Geneva, where we then enjoy the reward of a lovely lunch at one of the fine eateries there. We spend time on the water in our kayaks, on paddleboards, or on the beach. We are walking distance to Gordy's boat rental, and the Fontana Paddle Company. The Abbey Resort is available for day passes to the its great gym, and indoor pool. Our property also has a restful yard with lounge chairs that position themselves by our spring fed stream and pond with its gentle waterfalls. The stream is surrounded by trees, and perennials, a true oasis for hummingbirds, and butterflies. Our grandchildren love to play in the upper pond, and are entertained for hours looking for frogs, and cooling off by the water. The back of the house is also enjoyed for its interesting woods that has many shade loving wildflowers, and often houses families of deer.
