About Karen Chapman, Broker UR Home Realty

The owner's of this property live in Northern California. They visit Black-Eyed Susan's Cottage about 3 times a year and generally stay 2 to 4 weeks.

Karen Chapman, Broker UR Home Realty purchased this cabin in 1999

Why Karen Chapman, Broker UR Home Realty chose Parks

They originally purchased the property when their daughter was attending Northern Arizona University. But, because they love the Flagstaff area so much, kept it after her graduation.

What makes this cabin unique

The hardwood floors throughout add to the cozy atmosphere of the cabin. The front entryway acts as a solar room on chilly winter mornings. That coupled with the woodstove make it cozy all year long. Brilliant stars in the night sky and uninterrupted views of the forest make this a special place.

Experience AZ the way you should

  • 5 of 5

If you plan on spending your vacation watching cable and surfing the web this is not the place for you. But if you want to stay in a beautiful quite spot away from the tourist traps around the Grand Canyon Check this gem out. At night you would never even know there was another house around and the stars will put on a show that will put Facebook to shame. The kitchen was perfect for cooking and the back porch was the ideal place for morning coffee. If you love country living here is the place.

A great step back in time!

  • 4 of 5

The cabin served us perfectly - it was great having our own kitchen and space.

It was lovely to be away from light pollution and I enjoyed having no wi-fi.

Some new bedding and towels would be a nice addition but overall we had a great time!

Old home that isn’t looked after very well

  • 2 of 5

I have never written a bad review on this website but reluctantly I need to write one for this cabin. The yard was very overgrown so it wasn’t a nice area for my dogs and I to play, we found 3 live black widow spiders in the cabin (and so I spent the whole weekend worried my dogs or I were going to be bitten), and the smell of mold in the small bedroom/den area was so overpowering that we couldn’t sleep in that room at all (I’m not sure if it was coming from the carpet, the furniture, or the walls). It is obvious that no one lives at, or routinely visits the property because it is not well cared for.

Perfect little getaway

  • 5 of 5

We loved it! Plenty of room for all of us, 2 adults, 2 teenagers and 2 children and our dogs. The weather was great, close enough to Flagstaff and Williams to go do activities, but still had that quiet outdoors cabin feeling. Would stay here again

Well-stocked kitchen. Wished it was closer to Grand Canyon but overall, it was a very enjoyable stay.
