They originally purchased the property when their daughter was attending Northern Arizona University. But, because they love the Flagstaff area so much, kept it after her graduation.
What makes this Cabin unique
The hardwood floors throughout add to the cozy atmosphere of the cabin. The front entryway acts as a solar room on chilly winter mornings. That coupled with the woodstove make it cozy all year long. Brilliant stars in the night sky and uninterrupted views of the forest make this a special place.

Quiet and relaxing
Excellent time in a very quiet and relaxing area. Very nice cottage. The only thing I would suggest is to verify that all the dishes are clean.
we had very good time
It was nice and clean , Hot water was a little week.
Great location, quiet, and ideal for families with dogs!
We had a wonderful stay here! The property is located about 25 minutes outside of Flagstaff and 20 minutes away from Williams, so you are far enough away to hear only nature at night, but close enough to run to the store for groceries if needed. The back door leads to a large deck and fenced-in back yard, so our dogs could be let out to take care of business without worrying about them wandering off. It snowed while we were there, so the mud room at the front door and the laundry room at the back door were great to keep snow from tracking into the house proper. The kitchen is well equipped with a gas range, microwave, and coffee pot and any pots and pans you might need. We made pancakes, bacon, pizza, brownies, and hot chocolate while there. There was a lot of room for the four of us with two bedrooms and a bathroom on one end of the house, and a room with a futon couch and a bathroom at the other end of the house. Our kids' only complaint was that the twin beds they slept in were not very comfortable (a bit hard and squeaky). Hot water pressure is low, but manageable - you just have to finesse the shower controls to get it right. There are extra blankets and linens in the hall closet in case you get cold. As stated in the description, there is no wifi, and although cell service is available, even with Verizon, which typically has the best coverage in rural areas, the most we could get were 2 bars in all parts of the house - but then again, cell coverage wasn't a big priority for us this trip. Just an FYI in case cell coverage is important to anyone. Clean up after your dogs, take out the trash, turn down any slept-in beds, and place used towels in the laundry room were the very reasonable checkout rules. The manager, Karen, responded back right away the one time we had a question regarding location of extra trash bags. Great place. Would definitely recommend this for families with dogs.
A great step back in time!
The cabin served us perfectly - it was great having our own kitchen and space.
It was lovely to be away from light pollution and I enjoyed having no wi-fi.
Some new bedding and towels would be a nice addition but overall we had a great time!
Perfect little getaway
We loved it! Plenty of room for all of us, 2 adults, 2 teenagers and 2 children and our dogs. The weather was great, close enough to Flagstaff and Williams to go do activities, but still had that quiet outdoors cabin feeling. Would stay here again
Experience AZ the way you should
If you plan on spending your vacation watching cable and surfing the web this is not the place for you. But if you want to stay in a beautiful quite spot away from the tourist traps around the Grand Canyon Check this gem out. At night you would never even know there was another house around and the stars will put on a show that will put Facebook to shame. The kitchen was perfect for cooking and the back porch was the ideal place for morning coffee. If you love country living here is the place.
Grand Canyon, Petrified Forest, Painted Desert and Monument Valley National Parks, Walnut Canyon, Sunset Crater, Wupatki, Toozigoot, Montezuma Castle and Montezuma Well National Monuments as well as Glen Canyon National Recreation Area (Lake Powell), Red Rock, Slide Rock, Verde and Riordan Mansion State Parks are all an easy day trip from Flagstaff. Hiking, Biking, Fishing are all within a few minutes of the cabin. Abundant wildlife and birds in the area make for viewing right from the deck of the cabin.
