Why Rental Reservationist chose Grand Marais
We purchased Devil Track Lake Home 215 and 219 together in 2018 to create the ideal setting for summer and wintertime vacations. Also, Devil Track Lake Home 211 has been in our inventory for several years, so now we can offer three large homes all in a row on Devil Track Lake.
What makes this House unique
Large groups can benefit from renting all three homes available on Devil Track Lake. Total accommodation up to 24 in three spacious houses (Devil Track Lake Home 215 and 219 can be rented via VRBO and you can also inquire about Devil Track Lake Home 211 when contacting us). The Devil Track Lake Community is a combination of year-round residents, seasonal residents, and vacation rentals. Devil Track Lake is great for swimming, boating, and fishing in the summer months. Artsy and quirky, the North Shore harbor village of Grand Marais welcomes creatives, families and adventure-seekers alike. Grand Marais has been named America’s Coolest Small Town (Budget Travel Magazine), Top 10 Beach Getaways (Outside Magazine), and Next Great Adventure Town (National Geographic Adventure Magazine).
Nestled between the Sawtooth Mountains and Lake Superior, it is easy to see why so many find inspiration and beauty in Grand Marais. There’s something new to discover year around and around every corner.
Musicians, artists, photographers and makers journey to Grand Marais seeking inspiration, and they always find it. Explore or take a class at the Grand Marais Art Colony, the oldest in Minnesota, or discover traditional crafts of the northern hemisphere at the North House Folk School. Browse local shops and galleries and find the perfect treasure to take home. Indulge and enjoy yourself at any of the unique restaurants and discover the flavors of the North Shore.
You will also find inspiration in the natural beauty surrounding the harbor village. Jump on a kayak or in a canoe and explore the many lakes. Or take a casual drive in search of wildlife. Adventure outside the city on miles of hiking and mountain biking trails in the summer and explore some of these same trails during the winter months on cross country skis or a snowmobile. Grand Marais is also the entry point for the Gunflint Trail. Uncover the history and allure of this 57-mile National Scenic Byway at the edge of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW) and Canada’s Quetico National Park. Wander endless hiking trails and lose yourself in the wilderness. Paddle across the glacially-carved finger lakes of the BWCAW and marvel at the simple, ancient beauty. Watch for wildlife, especially the elusive moose, wolves, bear, deer, loon, fox and lynx. Bundle up and experience the Gunflint Trail during the winter months. You can enjoy snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, dog-sledding, snowmobiling and more. (Courtesy of Visit Cook County)
Please note: Because the North Shore is a very seasonal place, many businesses are only open during the peak tourist season of May through October. Depending on how vigilant the individual business owner is at keeping their hours up to date, some may not be current for the season. Google may also show that a business is open when it is actually closed for the season.
When planning your trip up during the off season of November-April, we recommend you double check by visiting local websites (Like Visit Duluth, Visit Cook County, and the Lake County Tourism Page) for current hours and openings.
