Very nice and relaxing!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here with our dog 2 times now over the last few years. It is very quiet and peaceful, has everything you will need, towels , dishes , grill stove, coffee maker , tv with cable. It is like your own little casita and has 2 bedrooms, if someone snores you can escape!! Very comfortable and nice views of the mountains. We especially like it because we can walk our dog and play in a secure area away from busy streets. We walked along the outside trail of the golf course community that it is nestled in. Our dog could lounge on the giant covered patio . Raymundo the caretaker was wonderful and made sure all was well. I just love this place!!! it is very comfortable and near everything. Erin was very accommodating with our schedule stay as we had to make a change due to illness. This is definitely our go to spot for staying in San Carlos. Thanks so much!!!

Very dated, Very HARD TO FIND

  • 2 of 5

The internet did not have good directions, nor did the website and when I repeatedly asked the owner to email me the steps to find it once in town, she would not. I was repeatedly told to use the internet. When we got to town after 12 hours of driving it took another hour to find in a one street town. She did not tell us to go to the golf estates!!! We stopped throughout town and everyone gave us different directions. The location was several miles to the beach or harbor. The place was clean but smelled terrible. My suggestion for her would be an hour before arrival turn air on or open windows. We had a few problems and Raymundo the manager was very helpful. We loved the town!!

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. Not sure why from our detailed map in the “one street town” that you could not find the casitas. We have been renting our casitas since 2007 and have NEVER had anyone not be able to find us from the simple map. In the first sentence of our listing on VRBO it states: “Three - Two bedroom, one bath casitas (small houses) with private shared pool near the fifth hole of gated golf course in beautiful San Carlos, Sonora Mexico.” It is again mentioned in the fourth paragraph. It is stated very clearly in our description that this is on the golf course? Even though you waited 4 months to leave the review, you can see other people staying near the same time left us very nice reviews with no mention of your complaints. We have numerous return visitors. I suggest in the future when renting a property that you read the description. We hope if you return to beautiful San Carlos that you find a more suitable property and understand what you are renting.

Delightful stay!

  • 5 of 5

We needed a few days to chill out after the stress of importing our car (which went very well). San Carlos was the perfect stop; only 5 hours or so from Nogales. Our casita was very clean, comfortable and very quiet. Raymundo was terrific and welcoming. When I texted him for directions, he replied immediately. We were so taken with the lovely mountains that we bought a keepsake, oil painting, from Omar at the Soggy Peso. All-in-all, we had a restful 3 days. Thank you Erin!

This was our first time in San Carlos and was very pleased with the 3 Casitas. Erin was great, gave us lots of travel tips, responsive and helpful. Raymundo and his staff was excellent. The house was clean and amble room. The master bed was fantastic. We would definetely rent it again.
