This unique bow roof Cape style home occupies a beautifully landscaped piece of land located a 5-minute walk to Cole Road Beach, a beach which is on Cape Cod Bay in Eastham, MA. The Cole Road Beach can only accommodate approx. 14 cars in the parking lot; therefore, it functions like a private beach. The house has 3 very large bedrooms: 1 on the first floor and two on the second floor; 2 full baths; an enclosed 'outdoor' shower located in an enormous, bright sun room; a deck and outdoor seating/table for dining 'al fresco' and a gas grill. A lush green lawn surrounds the home along with mature plantings offering quiet privacy. There is a gas grill, beach chairs, and washer/dryer available for guests to use. The house is located approximately 100 yards from Town of Eastham conservation land, and a short drive or bike ride to a small general store and freshwater ponds. Perfect base for exploring the Cape or for just staying put.

Great open floor plan on first floor for people to gather and hang out, nicely landscaped grassy yard, oversized bedrooms, two full baths, shower in sunroom to rinse off from beach, storage shed for bikes and beach stuff.

Great Family Rental

We really enjoyed spending time in Eastham this July with our extended family. We traveled with 6 adults, three children under three and also a yellow lab and the house was very large and spacious. Every room had plenty of seating and the bedrooms were enormous on the second floor! The house was perfectly located in walking distance to Cole Beach, Wiley Park (beach on a very clean pond with playground!), hiking trails in the woods and was only about 1 mile from the Cape Cod Bike Trail. The neighborhood is very quiet and private and the kids as well as the dog enjoyed all the outdoor space around the house. The owner was more than accommodating with questions and concerns along the way. We would definitely rent this again soon! Thanks for opening your house to us...we had an amazing time!

Great Spot

My family of four and our dog spent a week at this property and found it to be clean, well maintained with all the necessary amenities that a traveller would need. Bedrooms are large and airy and the living room is very comfortable and provided an up to date cable TV system and easy wireless access to the internet.

It is situated within 5 mins from Marconi and town beaches by car. What we enjoyed the most though was the beauty of the immediate area surrounding the cottage. We were able to take nice walks along some of the surrounding ponds and forest areas with our dog.

The local donut place is a must as is a Lobster Shack on what I believe is at the end of Cold Harbor Road, a five minute ride by car from the cottage. Lobster rolls are the best I have had.

I would recommend this vacation spot without any reservations as we all plan to return as soon as we can arrange it.

Comfortable Home

My family of five with 2 guests and our dog thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this home during July 2010. Rooms are very spacious, dining table is extra long to comfortably fit at least 10 people. There is enough room for everyone to spread out and not feel crowded. One air conditioner in the upstairs bedroom, though was ok. Could use another to cool the entire upstairs. It was unusually hot and humid during our stay and a couple of evenings, it was too uncomfortable to stay in the master bedroom. We relocated to the downstairs living room. The deck was great for the morning coffee and treats from the local donut shop and Cottage Street Bakery which has been a definite stop for several years while vacationing in Eastham. We had direct contact with the owner via phone and email. Responses were very timely. A very easy house to clean upon leaving. Highly recommend staying here as it is very quite, peaceful, close to the Cole Road Beach. We especially liked the owner's very willingness to allow our pet, a big black lab to join us on our vacation. The pet fee and conditions to have our pet with us were more than reasonable. We have already decided to rent here again for July 2011.

Great house

This is a comfortable house that feels like a home. The home itself is very clean and roomy with oversized bedrooms. I was thankful the owners provided had a crib, a pack and play, 2 high chairs, indoor toys and beach toys at the house. It is a short walk to the bayside beaches and a short drive to the bike path and national seashore. I worked directly with the home owner via e-mail who was friendly, easy to work with and always got back to me within 24hrs. The only negative would be that the house did not have internet access although there is a library which is a short drive away that does. I would absolutely rent this home again and highly recommend it.

Required changeover cleaning includes cleaning of all surfaces by professional cleaner, vacuuming all rugs. However, guests on checkout day are still responsible for loading dirty dishes into dishwasher and cleaning used pots and pans, etc; and for cleaning up incidental spills that may occur during their stay. Guests are also required to clean off the grill surfaces any built up food if grill used during their stay; and for wiping all sand off beach chairs, etc. if brought to beach. All guests are required to leave furniture in the place(s) where found; and all pillows and blankets on beds where they belong. Thank you!
