Enjoy this cozy, completely renovated home on a quiet street near the Stillwater Country Club golf course. It's half-mile to bike trails and 1 mile to the Brown's Creek Trail, a branch off the Gateway Trail. Walk to downtown Stillwater - only 1 mile to reach the north end of Main Street. The home has three bedrooms (with two queen beds and one full bed) plus a full-size sofa sleeper in the family room. Historic Stillwater on the St. Croix River has an abundance of delicious restaurants, unique shopping, local wineries, fun nightlife, bike trails, and river cruises. Stillwater is a beautiful little river town on the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway (National Park Service). Be sure to take a drive north to historic Marine on St. Croix, Scandia, and Taylors Falls, with two beautiful State Parks along the route - William O'Brian State Park and Interstate Park. You'll also find outfitters in the valley for kayaking, canoeing, and paddleboarding. In the winter, you'll find cross country ski trails in the state parks and downhill skiing at nearby Afton Alps, Wild Mountain, and Trollhaugen.

Girls weekend success!
6 ladies were able to rent this cute house on very short notice and were thrilled it worked out! The home is spacious for 6 people, with 3 bedrooms, a convertible couch (IKEA style so not your typical sofa bed) and enough space for others to use air mattresses we brought. The kitchen is large so many people can work around each other cooking and the table easily sat the 6 of us. It was a nice walk to downtown Stillwater, just a mile away but it is hilly, so keep that in mind if you have bad knees. Sue had great suggestions of restaurants and spa's if we were so inclined, but we just enjoyed Maple Island Brewing, hiking the state trail and then hanging out in the house with games and great food! For those with animal allergies, do note she has a dog that is in the house when there are not renters, but none of us had that issue. It is helpful to know if you DO have animal dander issues, however. No obvious dog hair or smells, we just saw dogfood in the cupboard so that's how we knew. All in all, great location, spacious home and it served our needs well!
