About the property

Condo, 2 Bedrooms, 1.5 Baths, (Sleeps 4)

This well decorated condo overlooks the city to the Plaza, its Cathedral visible, and beyond to the Santa Fe Mountains. A supermarket and a compliment of shops and restaurants are two blocks away, the famed Plaza another 6 blocks. The Santa Fe Opera is just over the hill, a 10 minute drive; the SF ski area just 16 miles.

Dozens of fine restaurants, a full compliment of those southwestern style, are within a few minutes drive, as well as museums, Indian Ruins, and venues for all sorts of activities: hiking, mountain climbing, etc.; and in the winter, skiing just 16 miles away, and in Taos.

Festivals and fiestas run year around, especially in the summer and fall: Indian and Spanish markets, the Albuquerque Balloon Festival, and Santa Fe Opera, to name but a few.

Canyon Road, with scores of art galleries, as well as those scattered through the city, makes Santa Fe the second largest art market in the country.

PS We have Digital, cable service with Comcast--and a new 32' HD Sony TV.

PPS: Horseback Riding! Fred Espinosa, a very savvy, experienced wrangler, has a beautiful set up in Tesuque, just a few miles up 285/84, with a range of beautiful horses and trails. Reasonable rates. Call Lori, 575 751 6180

About Scott

We escape the Texas heat in summer; we seek the mountains and dry coolness of New Mexico winters. And we eat well in every season. We have fallen in love, again and again, with Santa Fe.

Scott purchased this condo in 2006

Why Scott chose New Mexico

Free, ample parking. Great view! Easy access to all points in and around Santa Fe. Air conditioning in summer. A quiet respite from the hurly burly of the Plaza after a full day eating and shopping.

What makes this condo unique

Santa Fe has more culture than a dozen cities many times its size

Great Stay!

  • 5 of 5

I just returned from a visit to Santa Fe where my older parents and I stayed in this condo. The condo was beautifully decorated in Santa Fe style and was very comfortable. This condo was perfect for older visitors - the elevator loads within a few steps of the front door and the parking is within a few more steps. There was handicapped accessibility and the parking lot was well lit and felt very safe. Even my little dog had a nice yard of grass downstairs to do her business.

The condo was very clean, well maintained and stocked with appliances, kitchen accessories, linens, cleaning needs,etc... anything one would need to have a comfortable stay. Other than clothes and personal items, there was nothing we really needed to bring.

The condo was well situated in town to have easy car access to downtown shopping, casinos, the ski area and restaurants. The owners were really friendly and easy to work with. There were no negative "surprises"... in fact, the pictures don't really do the place justice. It's a very cute and comfortable place to stay.

Thanks, Scott, for your assistance in our stay.

Will be back

  • 5 of 5

This is our 2nd stay at this property and won't be the last. Great location just off 285/St. Francis.

Well appointed and decorated- most kitchen related things you need (we used many things in our week stay).

Complex is quite and well maintained- people smile and say hello when passing by in the parking lot.

Road noise can be loud when on patio, but not heard when door/windows closed.

Condo makes you feel like you're home.

Great Location for Trip to Sante Fe

  • 5 of 5

Hello,

My parents and I stayed at Scott's place over Labor Day weekend. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone that would like to visit the Sante Fe and Taos area. Scott was very responsive and helpful. The condo is in a convenient location just outside the plaza area and was prepared and stocked for anything you may need. The condo is decorated with lovely New Mexico accents and has a good view of the mountains.

That View!!!!!

The place was perfect for what we needed. The bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of room for everyone. The best part of the stay was the beautiful view from the patio.

Our stay in Santa Fe

  • 5 of 5

We came for a mini vacation in Santa Fe and had such a good time that we extended our stay an extra night. Fortunately, Scott was able to accommodate us. We loved the apartment. It has a wonderful, expansive view, and the apartment was very well appointed. It had a feel of a home away from home. We will definitely stay there again, if it's available next time we take a trip to Santa Fe.

People come to Santa Fe for these reasons primarily: scenic drives and hikes; creative shopping for intriguing fashions, and Native American, Hispanic, and Anglo art and collectible objects of art; fabulous selection of excellent restaurants; highly walkable city with Pueblo architecture; music; natural monuments such as Bandolier and Abiquiu Ghost Ranch and red cliffs archeological hikes. You will need to come back many times!
