Cottage, 4 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 3 Baths, (Sleeps 10-12)
This 2,500 sq. ft., 4 bedroom, 3 bath well maintained cottage has a spacious 140' PRIVATE FRONTAGE on Crystal Lake.
The cottage is clean and spacious, sleeps 10, and has plenty of parking and room to spread out and enjoy your vacation.
4 bedrooms (3 on upper level, 1 on lower level), 3 full baths. There is a queen bed in each of the 11'x15' and 14'x14' bedrooms, a double bed in the 9'x15' third upper level bedroom, 2 double beds in the 15'x15' fourth lower level bedroom, as well as a pull out sofa on the lower level rec room, and there is one porta-crib available as needed. Ceiling fans in each bedroom and dining room and fans in every room.
Spacious living areas on the upper level, fully equipped and NEWLY remodeled kitchen, dining and living rooms with oak floors, fireplace, TV, excellent views of the lake from nearly every room, upper balcony.
Lower level family room with TV, pullout couch (queen sleeper sofa) and love seat, sun room w/foosball table, additional fridge, deck outside of sun room w/patio furniture and gas and charcoal grills. Washer and dryer also in lower level.
The beach and amenities - a 40’x70’ sandy beach area and stairs to the water, boat hoist (3000 lb) is provided. Firewood is also provided at no cost. Two kayaks are also provided (please bring your own life jackets).
The cottage is located on the north/northwest side of Crystal Lake and faces almost due south, therefore, when it is hot out, the prevailing winds are generally present to help keep you cool. Also because of this location, we have rarely had issues with mosquitoes. There are no steps to the beach, yet, the cottage is across the road from the lake. We actually have come to prefer this, as there is plenty of room to enjoy the beach, fire pit and play games. Plenty of room and privacy from any neighbors. Please note: we call our home a cottage for a reason, and, do not want it mistaken for a luxury home as the home does not have all the amenities of a luxury home (no garage, central air, no city water, etc), but, is very well appointed and maintained, and as Northern Michigan is concerned, the cottage is in excellent condition and has an excellent rental and repeat rental history.
Our property is less than one mile to the beginning of the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. You can spend your entire week seeking out new and isolated beaches, trails, lakes, and dunes, all along the way to the popular dune climb attraction which is about a 20 minute drive from the cottage.
This is your vacation and we want you to enjoy it. Please email us or call us with any further questions.

About Terry Dyer
As tag along's to the previous owners/relatives, Tim and Michele, Terry and Jessica and their three daughters love coming up to Northern Michigan. Currently reside in the Grand Rapids area.
Terry Dyer purchased this Cottage in 2017
Why Terry Dyer chose Frankfort
We purchased our cottage in 2017 after many years of piggyback vacationing with Tim, Michele and their family. Although the ownership is new, we intend on keeping most everything similar as years past with the exception of a few upgrades to both the home and landscape. The beauty of the area and great location with many amenities and activities was a huge draw to our family, especially having your own little private beach to hang out on. Not to mention the crystal clear water and beautiful views of the lake. We hope to continue sharing our cottage with your family while you relax and enjoy the the area as best possible.
What makes this Cottage unique
Historically this area has been and continues to be a great attraction for the the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park, Traverse City cherry festival, local wine tasting, shopping, antiquing and fishing on Crystal Lake & Lake Michigan waters. With over half of clients as return vacationers, this alone makes it a testament to the beauty of the area and a great place to make memories with your family.

Crystal Lake Getaway
This was our third summer staying at a property on Crystal Lake. The house is a great setup for multiple families. There are three bedrooms upstairs (one with a bathroom) and a bedroom downstairs. Two bathrooms are downstairs. Both levels have a family room area which works out very well if you rent the house with another family. Kitchen and deck are upstairs and have a beautiful view of Crystal Lake. The private beach is ideal for a kayak ride, boat access or kids playing in the sand.
Only downside to staying on this side of the lake is the busy road that separates houses from water access, especially if you have little kids.
The busy road is common along this part of the lake. Unfortunately people drive way too fast. This is no fault of the home owner.
Wonderful Family Vacation
Our 2nd time vacationing at Crystal lake and we loved this home. It's in a great location, close to Frankfort, Glenn Arbor, Empire, Traverse City and more. The house itself had so many great features including: balcony, upstairs dining/kitchen, great water frontage, beach, dock, fireplace and more.
We will be coming back!
We Love Crystal Lake :)!!!
This cottage is GREAT! Comfortably fit 10 of us - 5 teenagers included! The kids hung out downstairs and we had the whole upstairs to ourselves - including a great balcony with outstanding view of the lake. The kids loved the kayaks, swimming, snorkling. Has all the amenities you could possibly ask for and then some! The weather was great during our stay and we did so many fun things ... golf, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Frankfort pier, stroll down Main Street, Point Betsie for sunsets and a swim in Lake Michigan, drove up and down all the hilly back roads. Lots of wildlife to see - including an eagle! The water was fantastic - and the lake is so large that you never feel crowded. We also went to the Outlet where the water is so shallow and warm. There is a great bike/walk trail from the Outlet to downtown Beulah that follows the lake where the old railroad was. Lots of history here. Can't wait to go back!!!
Family Summer Vacation 2012
Our family enjoyed a week of vacation during July 2012 at this cottage. It was a very hot week but the wonderful breeze off Crystal Lake and the many floor and ceiling fans in the cottage made the space comfortable, especially at night for sleeping. The house is spacious, airy and nicely decorated. The lake frontage is really lovely - sandy beach on one side and a grassy play area with swings on the other. We enjoyed a marshmallow roast over a fire in the fire pit provided one night, in spite of the heat. The upper balcony is great for sitting and lake viewing and retains shade for much of the day. Great place to spend a vacation!
Great Family Vacation Destination
My extended family has been vacationing at Crystal Lake for over 30 years and have enjoyed many fun rentals...but we have unanimously voted this beautiful home as our favorite. We will keep coming back. The house itself it beautiful and is perfect for adults and children both. Everything is provided right down to play and beach toys for the kids and adults. The beach area is like a personal park with wonderful sandy beach and great grassy play area with fire pit for those wennie roasts. Ten of us fit very comfortably into the spacious home and the laundry and downstairs play area are very family friendly. This place is where wonderful family memories are made. Thanks Tim!
This property is perfect for a Crystal Lake family vacation! The lakefront is perfect with a yard big enough for badminton and volleyball, a sandy beach area, and a dock with area big enough for relaxing. The location makes Beulah, Frankfort and Sleeping Bear dunes accessible. There is enough room for 2 families to share the space - we look forward to staying here again!
Located on the Northwest Shore of Crystal Lake amongst other very nice homes, and located about 2 miles from Point Betsie, one mile from the start of the Sleeping Bear Dunes Lakeshore, and about 10 minute drive from either Frankfort or Beulah.
