The house was nice, clean and well layed out for a large group.

Overall we had a great time and enjoyed the property. There were, however, a few things that were less than stellar. First, the promised canoe was not at the dock so we weren't able to enjoy the lake as much as we wanted. Second, tho advertised as sleeping 16, there were only beds available for 11. Our 12th person wound up sleeping on a couch. Third, there was no bath soap in any of the bathrooms. Shampoo but no soap. Very odd! Finally, supplied toilet paper in 2 of the bathrooms was 1-ply. Really?!?!? Fairly minor annoyances but did cast some pall on the week.

Owner's Response: Hi Kathryn, I am glad you generally had a good time. I am sorry that you could not find the canoe. After your stay, I checked for it and it was exactly in the same place that it should be. It could be that you looked on the opposite side of the lake. Our canoe is in the lake area behind the snack shack (not in front of the snack shack) and is clearly labeled. Our place sleeps 16 including all 5 rooms, the sofa sleeper in the living room, and the futon in the loft. We always include shampoo and liquid soap so we will check with our housecleaner to make sure she is not missing that. We purchase 2 ply toilet paper from Costco. Perhaps the prior guests purchased 1 ply and our housecleaner did not replace it. We will be sure to ask our housecleaner to verify the ply of toilet paper in the future. This is not something that ever came up before, but good to know to keep an eye out for this in the future. We appreciate your feedback. We take pride in our home and want to make sure our guests always feel comfortable.

Clean Comfortable Spacious Beautiful Scenic

  • 5 of 5

We had 16 of my family enjoy our stay here. We wanted a place close to visit Yosemite. Everything worked out great. The roads were open for us except once during a storm.

The decks outside are big, maybe 10 x 20. You can't tell the size of the rooms in the house by the pictures, but they were big enough for are group. (If people were in the pictures of the home, maybe that would give a better perspective of the size.) On the website is a picture of the kitchen. Look above in that picture and you see part of the railing for the loft. All 16 of us posed for a picture standing by the loft railing and over looking the living room/kitchen. We were all able to fit up there and take a picture.

We made full use of the kitchen to make meals and had everything we needed.

Everyone in our group was happy with this place. I would rent again and recommend to anyone. The first one to get there said, "Wow, this place is nice!"

Great home, really enjoyed our time

  • 5 of 5

Fully equipped beautiful home and beautiful views. Lots of stuff to do in the house and outside.

Only thing to note is if you are planning to go to Yosemite during spring the road is closed so it is over a 2 hour drive. In the summer it is much closer.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the nice review. I wanted to let you know that Highway 120 actually is open to Yosemite year round except for when it closes during a heavy snowstorm in winter months. This does not happen often. It was during the heavy storm in February of this year their was extensive damage to the highway and was closed for repairs. It was recently completed and opened up again!

Amazing and relaxing home

  • 5 of 5

If you are looking to have a great and relaxing time this is the home to choose! This home is truly amazing and comfortable. There were 12 adults and we fit comfortably. Everything was clean and organized. The view was truly breathtaking. Every morning we would all just drink our coffee/tea and look out the window and be in complete awe, so peaceful! The kitchen is fully functional. The beds are comfortable and bathroom are extremely clean. The house is just so beautiful, from the patios to the interior. The lake is close by and we would love to return in the spring/summer and enjoy that a bit more. Overall this place is awesome! We have nothing bad to say about this place. We didn't want to leave!!!
