Secret Garden" is a stylish, high-end cabin in Pine Mountain Club that is a world unto itself. Find yourself in the canopy of mature oak trees while experiencing the total relaxation of an intimate, nature-oriented, chic retreat. Sit in your very own hot tub while tuning into this incredibly saturated experience of space– hawks soaring high in a stark blue sky, deer bounding in the woods, hummingbirds darting in the air, jaw dropping panoramic views with snow capped mountains in the distance.
The interplay of nature, wood and water, glass and trees, creates a surprisingly calm, connected and strong sense of place in this cabin. Sitting in the great living area surrounded by mature oak trees gives one a feeling of being in a treehouse. Sliding glass doors and glass windows blur the boundaries between inside and out capturing the indoor-outdoor living that comes with the territory in California.
Say goodbye to stress and hello to relaxation! The master suite’s has a view on two sides: to the mistletoe covered, mature oak trees in the west and the pine tree studded mountains in the north. The hot tub which is up the hill in the backyard has the same view which will allow you to immerse yourself in the landscape in many different ways.
As you stand in the upper deck facing the backyard, you are on grade with sweeping views of the pine trees, mountains and endless skies, which you can enjoy from an outdoor sofa or our outdoor dining set. You may also want to read a book while being cocooned by the trees in the second upper deck appointed with its own outdoor glider. Both decks may also be ideal for doing yoga or meditation. The best thing to do here is just to relax. Our decks have seating areas which allow you to have a few drinks or have lunch while enjoying the bird’s eye view, or simply to relax and bring your pulse down.
The vacation rental has 3 bedrooms and sleeps 6 people. There are three bedrooms with two bathrooms with hot tub/spa amenities. The living room/dining room and kitchen share the same amazing views. Furnishings that carry meaning, mindfully selected and culled from all over the world, make this unique house strong in its identity and character.
THE MASTER BEDROOM
The master suite – with an Aireloom king size bed, spa size bathroom, rain shower, a two-person claw bath tub, spacious closets, and glass windows all around, give you a feeling that you are sleeping in a tree house. We use only the finest, luxurious linens and towels which include Sferra, Frette, Scandia, and Hudson Park.
THE GUEST BEDROOMS
Guest Bedroom #2 is a cozy and tranquil retreat which is appointed with a 42” flat screen TV. The windows face to the northside Spa/Hot tub with views of the trees and mountains beyond. It is attached to a mudroom with its own entrance.
Guest Bedroom #3 is a smaller bedroom with a pullout trundle bed which can sleep up to two people. It is attached to it's own bathroom with bath tub and shower.
Whether you are a gourmet chef or just like to have a comfortable and chic place to eat, this kitchen is the perfect calming influence to your meal preparation. The fully functional kitchen with the spectacular view, the many glass windows that allow natural light to come in, and the special touch of potted herbs in a kitchen box window, give this space a special slant of its own. Equipped with a high end refrigerator, gas range, dishwasher, a deep farm sink and a simple butcher block island to double as a gathering place.
THE OUTDOOR DINING AREA
A modest outdoor eating area on the deck gives a rustic feel to your dining experience. You will find an outdoor a barbecue grill here and a spacious outdoor sofa.
THE HOT TUB/SPA
When you stay at this home, every day (or night) is a perfect time to pamper and relax. Put on some calm music, light your favorite scented candles, make your spa water and step into the rain shower by the master bedroom and let the water calm your senses as you sit down on the tiled shower bench. There is an outdoor hot tub which also brings the spa home. Seize the moments of luxury in our 6-person hot tub's bench seating and 39 exclusive Velocity jets. Feel the warm hydrotherapy jets on your toes, along your back, and on your neck with the hot tub's full size lounger while taking in the view of the trees, mountains and blue skies during the day, and the moon and stars at night.
ABOUT THE NEIGHBORHOOD
You'll feel like you're in the most remote of locations while still being conveniently located. We are close to the Village Center, about a 1/2 mile or 15-20 minute walk. It is very hilly though so you might want to take your car. There you will find restaurants such as La Lena Mexican Restaurant, Madd Baileys, cute antique stores, Bear Claw -a coffee shop and bakery with home made pastries, a General Store, retail stores, a pub, fitness center, hair salon, the US Post Office and a gas station.
If you’re looking for even deeper snow you can also drive to the world famous Mt. Pinos, about 30 minutes away. With the summit at 8,847 feet, it is not only the highest mountain in Ventura County, but it is one of the best astronomy viewing points in this hemisphere. As a result, it attracts lay and professional astronomers from the world over.
Pine Mountain Club has so many things to do and has so much to offer all year round such as the Lilac Festival, Mountain Shakespeare Festival, Run to the Pines Car Show, Wine in the Pines, Fall Festival and the Holiday craft fairs. All seasons offer town events, shopping, and always an opportunity to commune with nature.
Please refer to the welcome packet and binder with a house manual we prepared for you, there are a lot of beautiful hiking trail guides that can be accessed all season. During the hot days, you can go for a short walk and take a swim in the pool at the clubhouse. We will provide you with the guest card which will give you access to the Clubhouse, a 9-hole PGA executive golf course (except during the winter months), tennis courts, playgrounds with equipment for kids, a baseball diamond, park with sand volleyball court, basketball court, gift shop, a pond, and much more. There is also live music every Saturday evening during the Summer. Within the vicinity you will also find an equestrian center where you can commune with horses.
For the Yoga Enthusiast, POW WOW LODGE is located on Ironwood Drive. There are yoga classes at 9AM every Monday and Friday. If you want to arrange private yoga classes, we can arrange that for you.
If you need a massage, we can arrange a session for you with WRIGHT MASSAGE, located a close to the village center.

You will be sent an email a few days before your arrival which includes all the access instructions, driving directions and all other important information regarding your stay.

While being only 70 miles from Los Angeles, the house sits on top of a hill at 6,500ft. Winter weather here can be extremely unpredictable. It is often very different at the house than in Frazer Park just 15 miles away. This is part of why staying here is so exciting!
