Seclusion in the Lost Pines

Everything about this rental experience was wonderful!

This was my very first time booking any vacation rental other than a standard hotel room, and I was a little nervous about the process. I was not disappointed at all! The owner answered all my questions promptly and was friendly and helpful. We felt at home from the moment we arrived. The beds and linens were very comfy, the towels were soft and fluffy, and the interior of the cabin was cozy. We especially loved the exposed beams!

We wanted a cabin in the woods, far away from people and city noises, with opportunities to explore nature - and that is exactly what we got! We enjoyed hiking around the beautiful property, bird watching (and listening) building a fire in the fire pit, roasting hot dogs, ( next time I will bring marshmallows!), lounging in the hammock, reading for hours on the back porch, listening to the wind in the trees, (there was a steady breeze the entire time we were there!), and just

R E L A X I N G!!!

Even though the daytime temps were in the 90's with the heat index much higher, we were very comfortable inside the cabin (AC worked great!) and the constant breeze made it enjoyable out on the back porch for all but the hottest few hours of the day. We enjoyed how quiet and peaceful it was both day and night. It was rather cloudy at night but the skies cleared enough on the last night of our stay, and we could see so many stars! If you love the idea of a getaway in a secluded and quiet spot with lots of beautiful trees and views, then this is the place to stay!

Thank you to the owners for sharing their cabin and giving us a wonderful place to retreat to. We are already planning a return trip later this year!
