Perfect blend of old and new cottages plus a private tennis court.
About Ken Spencer
This property has been in my husband's family since the 1940's. We are sharing it with others through renting so that we can be sure to continue to keep it in the family and give it the care it deserves. It has been lovingly kept up with yearly painting and repair, regular cleaning and landscaping. An insulated, year round, additional cottage was added in 2018. This cottage has modern charm plus all the conveniences.
Ken Spencer purchased this House in 1940
Why Ken Spencer chose Orleans
This property is over an acre and protected by hedgerow. Lawns, tennis court, former stables, a 1925 classic four bedroom cottage (queen, king and two rooms with twins), a 1945 two bedroom guest cottage (queen and twin) with a 2018 high end two bedroom addition (king upstairs, twins in finished basement). The entire property is unique for this area for its land and sleeping ability.
What makes this House unique

Relaxing family week
Lovely, quiet and close to a beautiful beach. Nice, "old Cape" atmosphere. Owner very friendly and welcoming.
Comfortable and spectacular place for our family reunion!
Our family of 12 (8 adults and 4 young children) thoroughly enjoyed our stay in July at this very welcoming compound of homes. Our two young families with small children each had their own cottage for sleeping and naps, but we gathered for meals and visiting in the beautiful new addition and on the adjacent deck. This space was so thoughtfully arranged and decorated that it felt like home from the moment we arrived! The air conditioning was a godsend on 2 very hot days that we spent there at the beginning of our trip.
We had everything we needed for the perfect family vacation. The kitchen was stocked with everything we might need, which extended onto the deck where we grilled nightly on the Weber grill. The barn was filled with everything from beach toys to tennis rackets, and we spent many enjoyable hours on the court. And best of all, it’s a short walk and 59 stairs down to Nauset Beach or the calmer Nauset Bay where we spent our days swimming and building sand castles with the kids. We also walked the beach north to the mouth of Nauset Bay. The neighborhood is quiet with friendly neighbors walking back and forth to the beach. We had bicycles and it was easy to ride into town and onto the bike path heading north or south.
Ken and Eliza are amazingly friendly and helpful hosts, and their nephew Henry was available locally for help.
Neighborhood of Nauset Heights is a quiet dead end neighborhood with it's own outer beach and bay access. East Orleans shopping area with medical center, restaurants, gift and grocery store is 3 miles down the road. The larger town of Orleans is a 10 minute drive with plenty of restaurants and shopping. Thirty minutes to Provincetown.
