About David Blum
We enjoyed coming up to the mountains from Atlanta for years before finding this wonderful house. We liked the area so much that we retired here and built a new home just up the road from this house. We now rent out this original house.

What a view!
We spent our family Thanksgiving here and enjoyed every minute of our stay. Cabin was neatly kept and provided all the comforts of home. We cooked our Thanksgiving dinner for 10 in the kitchen and had ample cookware and dishware. Master bedroom was huge and felt more like a master suite. The dawn and dusk views from the back porch were amazing! Gas fireplace came in handy since the nights were cold. Location was perfect, close enough to town for a short drive yet secluded enough where we felt alone in the mountains. In addition to nearby trails and waterfalls the surrounding area by the cabin is great for short walks with the dogs. David was very helpful throughout the stay. We highly recommend this cabin.
Moutain home in very beautiful neighborhood
Perfect place for vacation couple who love walking dogs in cooler temperatures. Large back porch was enjoyable, small fenced in yard for dogs made it easy to leave dogs outside for trips to town. Owner living close made it easy when I had a problem of my own.
Saw deer, turkey, squirrel, beautiful creeks, waterfalls & dogs got pretty excited on our hikes from the house. Tip: Must be well behaved on leash because of narrow one lane traffic.
Best view around. Wonderful safe community high in the Eastern Appalachian Rain forest. Dog friendly and the owner was available and lived right up the street.
Great views and privacy
Very private location with good views. If u like to hike just go out the front door and pick a direction. David was very helpful and informative on the area.
Second Time As Great As First
My husband and I have been meeting friends in Highlands for about five years and this is the only house we have stayed in two times in a row. Before discovering this house with its beautiful views we would stay within a mile of Highlands. The location is not only high up a mountain, but it is close to Highlands and also to Clayton, Ga which also has great shopping and food. The house has a great kitchen to fix breakfast, a great living room with a view to watch the sunset, and a back porch to watch the same sunset. You can have a fire in the fireplace and relax after a busy day and watch some TV. Hiking trails, a zip line, and almost anything else you want to do is close.
Dave and his wife are super hosts and if there is a problem they are immediately there to handle the situation. (They live close by) Before your stay Dave emails a list which includes wonderful places to visit and the names and phone numbers of every restaurant worth eating at.
You really can't go wrong if you stay here.
Beautiful, relaxing views
The interior was exceptionally well laid out. Great views and delightful areas to hike!
