This is our retirement home. It is quiet and a great place to relax. It Is our home away from home. I grew up just across the border and we would spend summers on the lake.

Great for life on the lake, great for cooking too

  • 5 of 5

While your standing at the counter prepping dinner, or out on the back deck, water view! The house has great air flow (we did not need to use the fans). The new kitchen has a huge countertop for prep, and the stove is great for cooking because it is gas not electric. All the pots, pans, plates, you could possibly need are on hand. It is quiet for sleeping. There are two full bathrooms, so there are two showers. The dishwasher, is awesome working way better than the one I have at home. There are four bedrooms. Two 2nd floor decks with water view, one screened with a table inside, the other not screened which was no prob since we did not encounter mosquitoes. The owner's dock is a 6 or so min walk away, and were were able to lock kayaks to the dock. The park is an easy walk away, and with swings and a playground for kids. TV worked well, and there was plenty of hot water for showers. The kitchen cabinets did not yet have handles (knobs) when we stayed in 2017, and this was frustrating at times; this shows the newness of the whole kitchen.

Beautiful property.

The pictures really don't do justice for this property.. This is a very busy lake especially on the weekend so I really enjoyed the fact that is was off the lake but so close that you could walk. The house was so nice with an open floor plan which made getting together with family in the area a joy.. We will recommend this house to our friends and family and will be back for sure..

We had a great 3 weeks at this house near Lake Bomoseen. The house had everything we wanted, television, wifi, modern kitchen, plenty of room and screened porch/deck. It also has a dock where we could be entertained by boat on the lake and my children/grandchildren could tube/kayak and swim within 5 minutes walk. There is a beach within walking distance along with a restaurant and bar. We are so happy with the house we will be staying 4 weeks next year.

Perfect Family Vacation House

  • 4 of 5

The house was great for three generations of family. The kitchen is totally stocked, complete with seasonings. It was comfortably furnished, clean, well equipped, and conveniently located to beautiful Lake Bomoseen and Crystal Beach -- a fun place for kids.

Great Lake House!

  • 4 of 5

This house is fully stocked on a nice piece of property within walking distance to the lake. All you need to bring is food, drinks and your bathing suit. There are tvs in everyroom along with wifi if you have kids that want to play video games when they aren't out at the lake. There is no a/c but there are fans in every room that keep it comfortable even in the summer humidity. The house is minutes from local restaurants, close to Castleton and only 15-20 minutes to Rutland. If you haven't been to Lake Bomoseen the lake is not touristy like Lake George. Very peaceful and a great vacation spot for families or couples.
