This spacious condo has 1150 sqft of living space, with 2 bedrooms, each with queen beds and a queen sofabed in the main living space. This property is a block from the main street and is within waking distance to a variety of restaurants, downtown Canmore shops and many local activities. It is next door to a major grocery store, liquor store, Tim Horton's and Starbucks. It has a well appointed and equipped kitchen complete with a dishwasher and a nice open living space which provides the comforts of home, complete with a natural gas fireplace. A private balcony with mountain views, deck chairs and a barbeque are available for summer lounging. This unit has two full bathrooms one with a jetted tub/shower combination and the other with a shower, in-suite laundry & gear storage area. This top floor corner unit has vaulted ceilings and in-floor heating. Building is complete with an elevator.

Canmore is located just East of the Banff National Park Gates only 15 minutes from the Banff townsite. The charming mountain town of Canmore was introduced to the world during the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary. Canmore has become an increasingly popular year round vacation destination due to its location in the Rocky Mountains and associated outdoor activities and attractions.

Skiing Information: Canmore is located 10 minutes from the Olympic Nordic Center well known for cross country skiing ~ 35 minutes from Sunshine Village ~ 20 minutes from Mount Norquay ~ 35 min from Nakiska Resort ~ 45 min from Lake Louise

Golf Information: Canmore has local golfing at the Canmore Golf & Country Club, Silvertip Golf and Country Club, Stuart Creek Golf & Country Club & Brewster's Kananaskis Ranch Golf Resort.

About Mark

I've been in the Calgary area since 1996 when I graduated from the University of Saskatchewan as an Engineer and a fledgling rock climber. I've had Canmore as my back yard since the day I moved, and it was always my dream to own a property there. In 2007 that dream came true when I purchased the condo and have been sharing it with guests ever since.

Why Mark chose Canmore

I chose to buy this condo not only because it was spacious and comfortable, but because of its central location. Renting the unit out was already in the plans at the time it was purchased, so location was everything.

What makes this condo unique

If you're hanging around Canmore for the day, there is no need to get into your car. Everything from shops to restaurants, grocery stores to liquor stores and even the new Elevation Place recreation center is within a 5 to 10 minute walk from the condo in the gorgeous scenery of the Bow Valley.

Melissa's challenge weekend '07

We were very happy with our stay at Mountain View Lodge. We came out to attend an event in Banff but were able to avoid the hassels of finding accomodations there, parking an extra vehicle and fighting the crowds for dining. The location was perfect. The unit was clean, spacious and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

Great location!

We had a really nice stay in Canmore at Mark's place. The apartment was a spacious two-bedroom centrally located in Canmore. Across the parking lot is a Save-On foods, and the apartment is within walking distance of several good restaurants. A great place to spend a few days if you like to ski, hike, or just hang out in the mountains!

A very nice stay for family vacation

My family enjoyed immensely staying in this condo with beautiful view, convenient and well-decoration. It is quite spacious for a family of four and we had a such great time while visiting Banff , Jasper, Kootoney and Yoho national parks. The free annual pass came in very handy.

When later we had some banks issues between US and Canada fee charges, Mark and Jennifer were absolutely helpful and everything was nicely resolved.

We will come back!

It is like you see in the photos: clean, spacious rooms, well decorated condo, etc. But the view is stunning when you are there! Owner Mark & Jennifer gave us lots of good suggestions on restaurants and attractions. We also took advantage of many tour books, hiking guilds in the condo. The place is close to everything, we enjoyed walking in town! The security deposit was refunded earlier than most of the other vacation houses we've stayed.
