Cute but very small apartment
The apartment is cute and the owner was friendly.
We were there with 2 babies, first week of November.
The kitchen is not very well equipped to cook.
The apartment has 2 bedrooms but you need to pass through the first one (biggest one) to go to the second one (small one). The access to the bathroom is from the second bedroom... the second bedroom is very small with a bed smaller than a normal single bed.
Even at the end of October, it was hot and humid inside.
The apartment was tastefully decorated, bright and cheerful. It was very clean and the bathroom was in great condition. Our host Susana was very helpful. Had the only dependable wifi I had in Portugal. Lovely space! However it isn't really a 2 bedroom. Second room is very small with only a twin bed. Would stay here again ❤️.
The apartment at 26 Central Alfama was a very modern updated apartment that offers all the amenities of living in a city yet located in the heart of Alfama so you get a feel of what it is like to live there. Susana and her family were very gracious and helped with recommendations of where to eat, how to get to the apartment via public transportation and providing reputable taxi service if so desired. The attention to detail as the apartment was restored such as exposing the old walls behind protective wall is just stunning. The internet services worked perfectly and we just left the wi-fi unit plugged into the wall so it wouldn't run out of battery. The apartment is centrally located by several restaurants, markets and shops, and the square where you can meet tour guides in only a 4-6 min walk. Pastelaria Alfama Dolce is a very good pastry shop off of R. da Regueria, also R. da Regueria will take you downtown to Lisbon Center. This apartment is very close to many sites and public transportation. We loved our stay in this beautiful apartment, thank you Susana for providing the wonderful experience of living in Alfama for a week.
We are happy to know that you enjoyed your stay so much. Thank you for leaving such a complete comment and for leaving the house as you found it.
We would be very glad to recieve you again in the future. Clean, polite and friendly guests are always welcomed back! :)
Joli RDC en plein coeur de l'Alfama (Pretty ground floor in the heart of Alfama)
Nice apartment well located in Alfama, very clean, well equipped for small simple meals. We stayed at 4 (2 adults and 2 children). Very warm welcome by Susana with small presents that show that we are expected. Its location allows easy shopping (Pingo Dolce for major races and a multitude of mini merkado nearby to help out.) Close to any departure to the places of visits (tram 28, station and metro in Santa Apolonia, bus lines , taxi ...) Thanks to Susana for his availability and attention throughout the stay until we leave (booking the taxi) For a next trip to Lisbon we would definitely go back home!
