This is a fabulous 2 bedroom plus sunroom, 3 bathroom executive suite. One block to the historic French Quarter, this second floor walk up is the perfect location to call home. Located in an historic building built in 1838, the building is completely gated and only accessed by the other tenants. The extra spacious unit boasts hardwood floors, central A/C and heat, full kitchen and beautiful views of the surrounding city rooftops. Large 700 sq. ft. balcony with 12 ft.double doors off of front bedroom and living room. Marble fireplaces, old brick fireplace in kitchen.

Frenchmen Street is THE place for the best food and live music in the city. One block to the French Quarter, one block to US Mint, 2 blocks to beautiful Washington Park, 4 blocks to Jackson Square, 2 blocks to the river trolley that can take you up St. Charles or Canal Street.(This trolley can also connect you to the convention center which is about 8 blocks away) It is quintessential New Orleans.

About The Owner

I live in Lake Tahoe, NV most of the year and New Orleans part of the year.

My sister lives in Denver and tries to get down as often as she can!

The Owner purchased this condo in 1995

Why The Owner chose Faubourg Marigny

This building was never intended to be a vacation rental. All other units are occupied full time and are very unique. This unit is our home away from home, and is rented when we cannot be there. What makes this property so special is none of the apartments have been subdivided. The smallest is 1800 sq. ft. and the largest is 3600 sq. ft. Units have been showcased in New Orleans magazine.

What makes this condo unique

Frenchmen Street is so unique, and is specifically for a special tenant. You must love jazz,and love the experience. Honestly, if you want peace and quiet, this is not the place for you. This apartment is in the heart of the music district. We both have children and stay there often, but it is geared for the true music lovers.

Spacious Apartment in a Great Location

My party arrived for a weekend trip on a Thursday evening and I was a little concerned about how much space 7 guys would have in 1 apartment but this place met our needs and more. The balcony is a nice place to hang out in the morning and the evenings. Everything we did was within walking distance which made things very easy. The backroom with the AC unit is the most comfortable spot during the day but that was to be expected in late June. Make sure that everyone in your group knows how to get back into the apartment and you will have a great time here!

Absolute Perfection!

This home is incredibly well located and within walking distance of all of the French Quarter "tourist spots". The home is immaculate, extremely spacious & beautifully decorated. The kitchen is stunning and we cooked many meals in here with ease. I would highly recommend this home to anyone I know and I would be begging them to take me with them just so I can sit out on the large balcony one more time and people watch for hours! There is VASO bar just below and if you leave the shutters cracked you can hear live jazz music playing as you fall asleep. If I could give this home 10 stars, I would!

Perfect place to enjoy Nola!

This is our second time staying at this property. Last time we stayed in the apt next door. Both are amazing! Same owner, and she's really easy to work with. There is so much room, both inside and out. The balcony is huge, and so much fun to hang out on, day or night. The apartment is beautiful, with its high ceilings, fireplaces, and hardwood floors. Super clean, nice bathrooms, comfy beds. We loved hearing all of the music from Frenchmen Street, even the club downstairs. We decided if you can't sleep through the late night music, you're doing Nola wrong! We had a wonderful time and hope to be back!

Large apartment in a great location

We really enjoyed our 3 day stay at this large apartment that is situated perfectly in the French Quarter. Frenchmen St. is great and it's just a few blocks to Bourbon St. Would definitely recommend to those who want to be right in the middle of the action!

Right in the thick of it!

Have stayed here multiple times during festival season. The flat couldn't have a better location for enjoying music on Frenchmen and walking the French quarter. If you're tired at the end of the day you can just enjoy watching the crowds from the huge balcony. Please note that it is very loud at night, especially in the front bedroom from the street musicians and the night club on the first level. Kitchen is minimally stocked in terms of glasses, flatware, cooking, but large.

Beautiful apartment in the best location!

We had such a blast in this apartment! It was spacious, gorgeous, and in the heart of Frenchmen street. It is right above a bar - so it is loud at night, but our friends who slept in the back sunroom said they barely heard anything. It was easy to check in and out, although it appears the actual street address HomeAway sent me was not correct, thankfully I had already messaged the owner (who was very responsive and great to work with) and she gave me the correct street address, but that's something that should be looked into for future guests.
