Riverfront with beautiful views of the river upstairs and down, in this bungalow
About Carola Rao
I purchased this house when my teens were small boys but shortly after moved back to Florida. I've struggled to care for it with the help of my parents, who remain in Niles. This past year I decided to sell it. While in the process of remodeling it, my parents started to become very fond of the property and it's location. We decided to try the vacation rental concept and VRBO seemed perfect. We have been enjoying the home and our guests since May 2019.
Carola Rao purchased this Bungalow in 2005
Why Carola Rao chose Niles
Just within a half mile walk there is so much to see and do. You don't have to drive anywhere.
What makes this Bungalow unique
A great view from the back of the house, including a firepit and BBQ. Plus you can walk down to the end of the block and fish off the public boat ramp or walk to the other end of the block and be on a great river walk path.

We loved this property in Niles. We were in town to catch a game at Notre Dame. The house was perfect for my brothers and I and it was easy to grab a ride to South Bend.
We really enjoyed the backyard and the view of the river.
Matt was a wonderful guest and took very good care of our place. We would be happy to host him again.
Cute House/Great Location!
Our final destination in Michigan was Niles, so this house was in the perfect spot. It was clean, well stocked and being on the river was a welcome plus. Carol was so responsive and nice! We will stay again on our next trip.
Clean beautiful property just as described with everything you need included. We had an amazing relaxing time!
Pots and Pans and Cooking Utensils were not there, we bought cheap stuff and threw it out in the end
The blender fell apart while blending, maybe invest in some utensils and pans. People cook when they are on vacation in a home. The property was clean and comfortable. You need to write instructions for the use of TV's it was hard to follow these. You could use a clock radio to play music out on the deck. I'm not complaining, because it was lovely. You just need to tweak a couple of things for complete comfort. Thanks, again, Mary Ann Riske
Thank you for your input! We will definitely get those going. It's always good to know what people are experiencing in my home. Thanks again!
Native visiting home
Great location and beautiful view of the river in back. Bring plenty of bug repellent. Our stay was great. We would return
Very happy with this place! Neighborhood is quiet, it’s the perfect place to getaway and have some peace and quiet. Clean, cute, and comfortable. 10/10 recommend
Wonderful guests! My place was well cared and clean when they left. I Would absolutely recommend them for future stays.
Niles Michigan is a great jumping off point for many adventures, whether your heading to the wineries and breweries for an afternoon of fun, to Notre Dame for a sporting event, to the beaches of St. Joseph and Stevensville, Gambling at one of the awesome casinos or taking in a festival in historic downtown, this is the home to do it from. Skiing and Golf are also available nearby. We are about 2 hours from Chicago and Indianapolis. There is an amazing riverfront trail a few minutes walk from the house, that goes all the way to Southbend, IN. that is really great for hiking, walking or biking. Please ask and we can provide any information you need.
