Saint Augustine Condo Rental Photos and Description

Condo, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4-6)

Bright, airy, comfortable, and attractive, this two bedroom/two bath condo provides a relaxing retreat from the wear and tear of daily life. Lying in bed in the master bedroom or sitting on the couch in the living room, you will have a view of the wide Atlantic and be able to hear its restful music. (Isn’t there just something about listening to the waves that puts the troubles in life in perspective?) Polywood bistro table and Adirondack chairs, a two/three person glider, and a comfortable rocker on the wide, north-facing balcony furnish a shady retreat on which to sit and sip coffee or sodas while watching the kids frolic in the pools, the dolphins play with each other, or the sea gulls chase the shrimp boats.

On rainy days, guests can watch DVD’s in the master bedroom or in the living room. A large plasma TV hangs on the wall across from the bed in the master, which is a favorite feature for some of our guests. The living room also features a 42 inch plasma TV for your entertainment desires. The master, living room, and second bedroom all have cable TV and we now offer wifi at no extra charge for those who like to stay connected!

With a comfortable California King-Sized bed, the master is a relaxing haven. The bedside table even sports a charging station in the top drawer for all your electronic devices! Hopefully this will enable our guests to remember their cords. Seems every time we owners travel, we leave some cords along the way!

The kitchen comes fully equipped with coffee maker, two sizes of George Foreman grill, mixer, crock pot, waffle maker, cookware, bakeware, glassware, dinner service and flatware for those who enjoy (gasp!) actually cooking on their holidays. (I do.) Thanksgiving and Christmas guests will even find a turkey roaster to prepare their holiday meals. You’ll also find a small laundry room inside the unit with washer/dryer/ironing board/iron for your convenience. Spacious closets allow you to unpack and put away the suitcases so you don’t spend your vacation tripping over STUFF!

Beach chairs and beach towels are all provided so that you don’t have to pack the farm when you travel. We have also left a small collection of pastimes for your enjoyment. Boogie boards, skim board, beach toys, kites, fishing poles, etc are also kept in the closet on the balcony. Of course, it does happen that our guests forget what they brought and what was already in the condo so sometimes those items walk away. Though we can’t promise they’re still there, all of these items were in the condo last time we visited. And, of course, all linens for bed and bath are provided. Due to fire codes, we are no longer able to provide a barbecue grill for our guests to use on the balcony. We apologize for the inconvenience. This is out of our control.

This unit is kept to a high standard of cleanliness. When you walk in the door it should both look and smell clean. This is a hot button for us! When we vacation, we don’t want to move into someone else’s dirt nor do we want our guests to have that kind of negative experience. And because the owner is allergic to molds, the housekeeper is very careful to attack dusts, molds, and mustiness that sometimes accompanies beach properties. Towels, sheets, glasses, and most rugs have just been replaced, along with the balcony furniture.. Other new furnishings have also been added. This unit is as immaculate as we can keep it considering the steady stream of guests coming through the door!

The complex in which this condo is located, St. Augustine Beach and Tennis Condos, is an ocean front complex just 2/10 of a mile from the famous Oasis Grille. The wide beach is only 300 feet from the condo across a private, coded access boardwalk. It is 3/10 of a mile to Winn Dixie and half a mile to the Publix grocery store. The historic district is only five miles away; the pier is 2 miles away. A third floor unit with access to two elevators, luggage carts, and grocery baskets, it is easy entry and exit. The homeowner’s association rules are flexible enough to allow guests to have a good time while being stringent enough to protect their safety. It has a reputation for being family friendly rather than for attracting the party crowd. You will find the complex clean, well maintained, and attractive with its two large pools.

As owners want our guests to have wonderful vacation experiences. To that end, we are continually striving to make our condo a more and more enjoyable vacation destination. We hope returning guests will appreciate and enjoy the new surprises they find almost every year! Contact us with any questions. We do our best to make staying with us a pleasure which you will want to repeat year after year!

VRBO now charges a "service fee". You are welcome to pay owner directly via check to avoid that fee. We have a long history of honest dealings with guests as you can see by our guest reviews. We feel this fee is unnecessary $ out of our guests' pockets are willing to go to a bit of extra effort to help you avoid it. In order to do that you don't press the book it now button but send an inquiry. We can go from there.

About Pat Dexter

We are missionaries in Asia and have a large family- 8 children, 1 granddaughter and 1 grandson! We love the Lord Jesus, God's Word, and His creation. It is our pleausre to serve Him together. We have our feet firmly planted in two continents with one foot in Asia and the other in America since we have one daughter adopted from China, three Asian daughters-in-law and we are Americans. We've decided that until we get to Heaven our hearts will never be in just one place again!

Pat Dexter purchased this condo in 2007

Why Pat Dexter chose Florida North East

When our parents passed away a few years ago, we found ourselves with no place to stay when we visit America, so we used our inheritances from them to purchase this home away from home. This particular condo captured us because of the wonderful view and the aesthetically pleasing recent renovations. It provides all the comforts of home for us when we get to come to the states and by renting it to guests between times, we are able to pay the high costs of maintaining it. We consider it a very special gift from our parents, who always took such good care of us and continue to do so even after they're gone, through this wonderful provision. This place is a haven for our family, as we hope it will be to our guests.

What makes this condo unique

We love lying in the bed and looking at and listening to the beautiful ocean. Seeing blue skies and the ocean every day is just wonderful after months of white/gray smog filled skies and city noises! You may take fresh air and clean smells for granted but we don't! We enjoy the comfortable furnishings which are attractive but uncluttered. Our kids love the wide open spaces, running on the strand, swimming in the pools, and enjoying God's creation. The condo itself and the entire complex is well maintained, which always makes our time there especially pleasant!

Guestbook comments from the owner

We had a wonderful time! Loved the condo and are already talking about going back next year. We really liked that it was so completely stocked and so clean. Have been places in the past that often didn't have things that we needed.

We loved that the beach was so close and the view from the balcony.

Thanks! :)

Perfect Family Vacation Rental

  • 5 of 5

Absolutely loved it! We've been renting beach condos for our family vacations for over 20 years now and I have to say, this was the most comfortable, well-kept, well-equipped, family friendly place we've ever stayed! Just perfect for our style of laid-back vacation! It was very clean and fresh, comfortable, and felt very much like visiting someone's home rather than a rental property. Full size washer/dryer was wonderful for big loads of beach towels. We loved that we didn't need to bring beach chairs, umbrellas, towels, toys, or coolers as they were all provided! An excellent bonus not having to pack those items! All linens are of nice quality & furniture was comfortable. Very helpful to have 2 pull-out beds in the living room for the children. Also, having an infant, I was so thankful that there was a rocking chair! :) Enjoyed the double glider/rocker on the balcony, watching the sunrise over the ocean. What we appreciated most was how well the kitchen is equipped because we like to cook in. Little touches like the waffle iron, good sharp knives, nice pots and pans, crockpot, and nice coffee pot made such a difference.

We found the owners' food recommendations to be exactly to our taste. All the places we tried from their list of favorites were wonderful! Our favorite -- A MUST TRY -- is O'Steen's for fried shrimp. We loved it so much we went back a second time! (Note: O'Steen's is closed Sun & Mon and takes CASH ONLY.) We tried Cafe Eleven for breakfast and would recommend it as well. We happened upon a farmer's market next to the pier one morning and had a great time exploring local vendors, picking up a few souvenirs, some fresh produce, and some local honey.

Everything about our experience there was positive. What a refreshing get-away. We look forward to coming back again!

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for the detailed review. You covered a lot of areas which I know are important for future guests. I'm glad you found all you wanted for your vacation and that you found the place clean and well maintained. It's fun for us to keep it nice for our guests and to imagine their relief as they walk in and find it as advertised! (I know we all hold our breath when we rent vacation homes, afraid that we'll find unpleasant surprises inside!) And I'm also glad that you enjoyed some of the restaurants that are our favourites. You folks were just delightful to deal with. We so hope you'll be back in the future!

Perfect for the family or just a couple's getaway! We loved this condo and its location!

  • 5 of 5

This unit was perfect in every way! We rented the condo for a family vacation, but this unit is perfect for a couples getaway too! Only five miles from town and steps away from the ocean! So you are able to sun by day, have an evening of fun just a short drive into town.

You can hear and see the ocean from the master bedroom balcony and living room. (Where we had our morning coffee every morning as the sun came up) If you want to have a relaxing "beach" vacation, you will never have to get into your car! There are two pools in the complex and you are right on the beach to soak up the sun and for morning walks or evening strolls... The unit is extremely clean and offers every appliance needed for a "home" feeling. This condo is really a "home away from home"... We highly recommend it! Everything listed in the posting is there!

St Augustine has everything to offer for children of all ages, museums, tours, history and more! We have a son, 16 and a daughter, 12 and they already said they want to go back as our annual family vacation. My daughter enjoyed a horse and buggy ride through town where we got a full history tour of St Augustine and my son enjoyed the Segway historical tour.. If you like horseback riding, check out the Florida Agricultural Museum only minutes away! Cheryl the barn manager was great! The best was driving into town parking for a minimal price and walking to the many restaurants the town has to offer with all the great shops too. We hit lots of the restaurants in town, but our family's two favorites were Meehans, for the biggest burgers in town and "Key West Lemonade" cocktail on their outdoor patio with fire pits. Frida's Restaurant has a more authentic Spanish flare with Friday night dancing. Both very reasonable pricing.. And of course the kids loved Pizza Time, delicious pizza and homemade gelato too!

Thank you to The Dexters for their hospitality and making our family vacation a great one! We cant wait to go back for another great one!

You cant go wrong with this unit or visiting St. Augustine for a long week or even just a long weekend away!

Exceptional service

  • 5 of 5

We made plans for our vacation this fall at Pat's condo and were really looking forward to it. Unfortunately Hurricane Matthew came thru 1 day prior to our scheduled arrival and the island was evacuated. Pat and her husband were FANTASTIC to work with and did their best to keep in touch to monitor the situation and update us even though they were out of country at the time! I can tell you that over the years we have stayed at several different vacation properties but the service we received here was second to none!!! Although we ended up altering our plans and not being able to come we are looking forward to staying here in the future. Bottom line - the owners are great people to work with, very professional, responsive and understanding!

Owner's Response: Thank you, Tetyana, for taking time to write a review. It's good for future guests to know that if they book at a time that happens to have a hurricane, they'll be fairly treated. Our goal is to treat others the way we'd like to be treated so we are happy you were pleased. We were sorry you weren't able to come and hope that you'll give us another try in the future!

Pat made this the easiest vacation. Everything was provided and easily explained from the time we booked until the time we left. The condo was great and had everything we needed. We loved sitting on the balcony listening to and watching the waves. My two boys did not want to leave! We will be renting here again!

Owner's Response: And we would love to have you back! Sorry the hurricane disrupted your last two days but happy that you packed some great fun into the five nights you stayed. You mentioned two things we love future guests to know- that the condo has everything a guest would need for an enjoyable holiday and that the communication was clear and easy! And I'm super glad you loved the balcony. That is my favorite spot to hang out and enjoy the ocean's music in comfort. We look forward to your return.

Very clean, comfortable and relaxing.

  • 5 of 5

My husband, son and I just spent a week in this beautiful condo! It was really clean, comfortable, and relaxing. They had everything that we needed in the kitchen to prepare meals, lots of beach gear, and really nice patio furniture on the deck to enjoy the awesome view! It is an easy walk to the beach and close to grocery store and many restaurants and attractions. It was such a nice place that we didn't venture out as much as we had planned, and didn't want to leave. Truly paradise! Thanks Pat for sharing your lovely condo.
