West Byfleet was a joy!
My husband, son and I could not have felt more at home during our stay in London! The flat was lovely, clean, and well stocked with all the comforts of home. We enjoyed being able to cook, wash clothes, relax and sleep very comfortably during our stay. Olwen was an absolute jewel to work with and made sure everything went well for us. We would definitely stay here again!

Best Place we've stayed at, in Europe for a long time
This was a wonderful place. Olwen was flexible on her time frame, letting us in, and showing us around her beautiful flat, even though our plans were very disrupted, and we ended up arriving much later than we expected.
The accommodations were extremely good. Probably the best place we have stayed at in Europe for a very long time.
The flat is spacious, ground floor, so easy to get all our luggage into.
The only issue we had was with the parking the first time in, while she was showing us around, I had parked a little over the line, and the person in #3 left me a nasty note! I parked better the rest of the week.....no problem. I spoke to someone in the flats, and they said #3 is the parking police!! Nothing against Olwen and her flat though, just something to keep in mind.
The place was very clean, neat and tidy. She has a 3-ring binder that gives info on the flat, appliances, TV, internet, and all kinds of info on things to do locally, and further afield. Wonderfully helpful! The linens were a good quality, the kitchen well stocked as far as appliances. Ample space in the fridge and freezer, as well as the flat itself.
It was easy to get in and out of Central London, access to the M-25 makes everything within so easy reach.
The local bakery across the street is very good, as is the chip shop around the corner and the doner kebab place a couple doors past the chip shop.
All in all, it was a wonderful place to stay, we will certainly stay there again the next time we are around London.
Thank you Olwen.

Clean but Dated
I stayed in Byfleet. Very much a residential feel. Not really a vacation spot unless you're seeking solitude. Very basic village with not much variety in options for shopping. There was a SuperTesco (Tesco Extra) that was conveniently located to the apartment, so that was helpful for groceries and other knick knacks. More for a business traveller looking for somewhere to lay your head in the evening than a vacation spot.
The apartment itself was clean and had everything I needed for my stay. I was having a decent experience for what I needed (a shower, bed and use of a kitchen) until the very end of my stay where I ended up having a very bad experience with the owner. The washing machine broke after 1 use and she placed the blame on me for the damage and withheld my deposit. I should have gone with my gut as I had suspected there were issues with the machine, due to cracks I saw around the handle when I reached to open the door to insert my clothes, however, since I was led to believe all appliances were in working condition in the apartment, I proceeded. After the machine signaled that the cycle had ended, I went to retrieve my clothes and the handle was stuck. I ended up having to check out without my clothes and informed later by the owner that I would be charged for the repair to her broken machine. For that reason I would have trouble recommending this specific apartment to anyone.
I am sorry I had to withhold your damage deposit to pay for the damage caused to the washing machine. During repair it was apparent that the door lock mechanism had been broken by an attempt to force the door open before the program was finished. The machine’s computer shows there were still 2 minutes of ‘pump out’ to go before the catch would have been released. The machine had worked perfectly before and is now working perfectly again since the repair. The replacement door catch and charge for fitting the new one unfortunately used up all your damage deposit and more.
As for Byfleet not being a holiday destination, it does not pretend to be the kind of place you would go to for beaches and nightlife. Byfleet is a historic village dating back hundreds of years and was once home to mediaeval royalty. The ancient Byfleet Manor House was used as one of the locations for the filming of Downtown Abbey. The village does have the famous Brooklands Motor and Aviation museum and Mercedes Benz World within a few minutes’ walk, and other attractions such as Hampton Court Palace, historic landscape gardens Claremont and Painshill Park, and the RHS Wisley gardens are a very short drive away. Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Centre is a couple of stops away by train. Many people rent the apartment whilst working temporarily with one of the many companies headquartered nearby such as McLaren, Sony etc. or because they are visiting relatives in the area. But principally visitors rent because the local station has trains taking from only 22 minutes to reach London. Most people who stay have found this spacious two bedroom, two bathroom apartment convenient, comfortable, nicely decorated and well equipped.
Spacious, clean, well equipped.
Family with 2 kids, space was more than enough, well equipped kitchen, nice and quite apartment. Very good internet. We loved park with playground just around the corner and close Tesco Extra shop. Good parking in the back yard. If you like taking a bath, water is enough for one and then you have to wait until boiler warm up again, for us this was only uncomfortable issue the rest about this apartment is just perfect. Communication with host was more then perfect! Thank you very much! Can't tell about sight-seeing since we where for soccer camp.
Fantastic Option for Visiting London Area and Beyond
This well-appointed flat is a gem! Olwen was very helpful and managed the whole process beautifully and with quick response time. (Thank you, Olwen!)
The flat was very clean and had all we needed to use as a launch pad to tour around the area or just stay in and put our feet up. Train station is an easy walk and made getting to central London a breeze. The complex is quiet and well kept - and the village of Byfleet has plenty of grocery options as well as restaurants. Loved meeting a few of the locals, they were friendly and welcoming. Big shout out to our Uber driver who suggested the Lebanese restaurant just a few blocks away - Julie's Grill had delicious food and the portions were huge. We will definitely be staying in this flat again when we return. Wonderful experience!!
Our home for two weeks.
We loved staying at this Apartment. We cooked most of our meals during our stay, the kitchen had all the cooking utensils we needed. The washing machine came in handy, very fast internet and very close (walking distance) to local shops and pubs.
The apartment is very clean, heating works very well and my wife felt safe when she was on her own. I recommand staying here.
In the heart of Byfleet Village and very close to Brooklands Motor and Aviation museum. Large M and S and Tesco superstores nearby. Just a few miles from Woking with its excellent cinemas, theatre and restaurants.
