About the property

nice apartment with two bedrooms and a large living room; high-speed Internet

On the second floor in a small building typical of Avignon, a 2-minute walk from the Market Square Pie Halles; Very comfortable apartment with a living room and two bedrooms on quiet garden.

Fully equipped for your comfort (kitchen, TV, internet, etc.), all included in the price: sheets, towels, cleaning!

High ceilings, floor tiles; you will be immersed in the Provencal atmosphere upon arrival.

On one side two large and independent quiet rooms overlooking a garden; street side and a large living room (with sofa / extra bed) very bright and equipped with large double windows very effective against noise, heat or cold.

The new and functional bathroom has a bath with shower and bath screen, a sink and a toilet. It is also equipped with a washing machine at your disposal.

You have two possibilities of parking:

- 1 minute walk to the Halles de la PLace Pie car park (for a fee);

- otherwise the FREE parking of Italians located outside the walls, but connected by a free shuttle with a stop Place Pie to a minute on foot.

There are otherwise some paid places (parking meter) in front of the building along the sidewalk, depending on availability ...

There is a place reserved for loading / unloading at the corner before arriving at the door (corner rue Thiers / rue Paul Saïn).

If you arrive by train, I can arrange on request a transfer drive from the TGV station to the apartment.

Please note that a deposit of € 500 will be required upon arrival.

Possibility of bike rental; normal or electrical: ask us

Unfortunately we are totally unable to accept animals, even passing (!) cause carpet in bedrooms and hallway; and allergies from some of our regular renters ... and ourselves.

Failure to comply with these conditions will automatically result in the retention of all or part of the deposit ... sorry

Spacious apartment, close to food shops and market, and less than ten minutes walk from Popes Palace

We were very happy with the apartment. Although the kitchen is not large, it is well equipped and we prepared many of our meals. The shower was very good (even though over the bath, we were more than happy with it). The bed was very comfortable (and quiet) and we slept well. The living room is large with a big solid table for meals etc. The apartment is up two flights of stairs but we managed OK even though we are retiired. The place may nor be ideal for someone who has a bad back, because the easy chairs and sofa do not provide lower back support

The flat is very comfortable, big rooms, well organised, has everything you can need.

The flat is very special, big rooms, high ceilings, a lot of space and air. It's in the old part of the city inside city walls, 10min walk from the Pope Palace. Fantastic market in 2min. Many places to eat and drink. We can recommend Mamma Corsica, nice food and wine even Corsican beer, warm atmosphere and service. The owner of the flat Michel is very helpful and friendly.

Excellent base for exploring Provence

Michel's apartment was great - clean, comfortable and quiet. The location was excellent - just a short walk down the road to the main square and the marketplace Les Halles. It was also a reasonable walk to the bus and train station withe frequent buses and trains to all the surrounding towns. No need for a car! Thank you Michel for meeting us at the apartment and orientating us to the town. Thank you also Mrs Schnegg for meeting us at the end of our stay. It was a very enjoyable week for us all. I would highly recommend this apartment both for visiting Avignon and exploring the surrounding area.

Wish we could have stayed longer!

Our family of four (2 adults, 2 teens) had a wonderful stay in Michel’s apartment. It was clean, spacious, and comfortable and furnished with everything we needed. I was concerned that we would be hot without air conditioning, but even on the hottest days (90 degrees-plus), we slept comfortably with the bedroom windows open and fans circulating the air. The bathroom was also bright and spacious, with a very nice shower, and even a washing machine that came in handy during our stay. The location could not have been better, just a few minutes’ walk to Les Halles market where we bought delicious croissants, fruits, and pastries for breakfast, and just a few minutes more to the popular tourist areas of Avignon. The walk to the station was only 10 or 15 minutes, but take a taxi if you have luggage. (Also, it was not an issue for us, but be prepared for the two flights of stairs up to the apartment.) Michel couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful, with advice about Avignon and Provence, dining recommendations, etc. Having lived in the U.S., Michel is fluent in English and also knows what appeals to American visitors. He was prompt, responsive, and kind, and we couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay.

Also, I will add that we had a fantastic half-day excursion renting electric bikes from South Spirit Bikes in Avignon. The e-bikes were a lot of fun and were a highlight of our stay for the kids.
