Charming and sunny 2-Bedroom flat, with terrace and frontal city-river view, in Bica neighborhood. Ideal for 4 person, but suitable for up to 7. Very convenient location, with all transports, in the heart of the historic center, near Chiado and Bairro Alto.
The flat is a showcase of mixed architecture, resulting from an old style building, reconstructed in the 60's, and recently renovated. It stands out for traditional materials (wooden and ceramic flooring), cozy spaces, large windows, luminosity, and the landscape that enter inside from different angles. The living room and the terrace have, for sure, one of the most attractive views of the city, over Ribeira market area and the Tagus river. This, faced to South, with an excellent Sun exposure.
The number of sleeps is flexible. It's ideal for 4 person, but can be comfortably used by 7. Both bedrooms are equipped with double beds. In the master room, the bed is king size and there is a walk in closet with an extra chair-bed: it's possible to turn it all into a 3 single beds dormitory. In the living room, the sofa can be easily converted in real third couple bed, in a slatted wooden.
What you can expect:
An amazing view. Sunbathing. Comfortable beds. Bed-linen and towels. Kitchen equipped with the essentials for a cooking lover. Free Wi-Fi and Cable TV. Hairdryer. Iron and ironing board.
It's a 3rd floor. No lift, as common in the old city. Regular stairs, easy to climb.
Taking a walk:
Bica is a popular neighborhood, crossed by its historical funicular. It's surrounded by Bairro Alto, Chiado, Santa Catarina, Ribeira/Cais do Sodré, the most vibrant area in Lisbon, plenny of commerce, people and an amazing number of attactions. It's possible to walk to almost everywhere, and this is a interesting starting point to explore the city. Santa Catarina viewpoint is right there (compare with S. Pedro de Alcântara viepoint, not far away). Baixa is 15 minutes walking. For the Castle, it's 30. Curiosly, historical quarters are relatively small, close together and easy to navigate. But, be prepared for an extra effort: Lisbon is literally made by hills.
The area is very central and well connected. There is all kind of transports, practically to everywhere: trams, funiculars, buses, metro (blue and green lines), trains (from Rossio and Cais do Sodré) and even boat for the other river side. From the airport, it’s possible to get to Baixa-Chiado metro station, in 45 minutes. The famous tram 28 cross the main historic neighborhoods, including Bica, towards the Castle. The tram 25 goes to Belém (30 minutes). Sintra is 40 minutes away from Rossio train station. Nearest beaches are spotted along Cais do Sodré railroad (15 to 40 minutes). Surfers should stop in Carcavelos; the romantics, in Estoril or Cascais.
The flat is located in a residential building; please, be silent after 10 PM (including in the terrace).
Rubbish bag: leave it on the street, between 8 and 11 PM (except Sundays).
