About Grace Mannix Schiraldi

Hello! We are the Schiraldi's and we have been enjoying the Adirondacks and especially Lake Placid since our childhoods. I even bought my wedding dress on Main St. after a muddy hike up Cascade Mountain! We were finally able to purchase a place of our own in Lake Placid in 2007, and are happy to welcome you and your family to also enjoy all the terrific activities, views, adventures and peacefulness the Adirondacks has to offer!

Grace Mannix Schiraldi purchased this townhome in 2007

Why Grace Mannix Schiraldi chose Adirondack Mountains

Why did WE buy this property -- we wanted something that could fit family and friends, and be close enough to Main Street, so we could stroll home after dinner. And, something close so that our kids (now grown up!), could walk home from the movies or Bowlwinkles. And, it's CUTE! A little Adirondack-y but not too much! :)

What makes this townhome unique

Great separate space for kids and adults to hang out with the main level living room, and the lower level den and extra game room. Three levels with three bathrooms allows folks to spread out and have privacy. So close to some fun restaurants like Lisa G's, Liquids and Solids. And a short walk to Main Street with lots of activities!

Absolutely beautiful small village in the Adirondack Mountains. Famous for hosting the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympics. Many Winter Olympians train here, with events and venues open to the public. Lake Placid also features the Ironman Tournament each July, the NY State and Lake Placid Horseshows in June, the Can-AM Ice Hockey events throughout the winter, and lots of other fun activities.

Comfortable and Convenient

  • 5 of 5

This terrific condo had enough space for everyone. My 13 year old son was thrilled to discover the fully finished basement with its own bedroom, bathroom, and TV watching room and immediately claimed it as his personal suite. My 15 year old daughter was equally thrilled to have her own upstairs room with king size bed and bathroom, and I was happy to stay in the comfortable and clean bedroom on the main floor. It's a great walk to the beach and the village and conveniently located a short drive from Whiteface Mountain, hiking, and the Olympic Ski Jump and Bobsled venues. We had a great stay in this lovely condo, and the owner Grace was very helpful and responsive to any questions we had throughout our stay.

Wonderful place! Thank you!

  • 5 of 5

What a lovely place to stay. It was very close to the village and was quiet and private. There were so many options for my large party (12 of us) and everyone slept comfortably. It was great to not have to jockey for space in the bathroom. With three full bathrooms, everyone was happy. Grace was wonderful to work with. She always responded very quickly. When I made the initial booking, I was an idiot and plugged in the wrong dates. She worked very hard to make sure my card did not get charged twice and was able to correct my mistake. Thank you so much for a lovely weekend!

Great place

  • 5 of 5

my family and my nieces stayed in August to attend a family wedding. The town home was perfect! Everyone had privacy but yet everyone was still able to gather and catch up with on another. The town house was close enough to town that we could walk but far enough away from traffic noises. it was very quiet. The beds were very comfy and the atmosphere was very inviting. Grace was AWESOME to work with and was very prompt to respond to any question I had regarding our stay. I hope to have the opportunity to visit again.

Convenient location, great space for my friends and me

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here in January and had a great time. The apartment is so spacious - seven of us adults fit very comfortably, with room to spare (especially with the bunk beds!). The living room with TV and fireplace were a great place to hang out. It's about a 10 minute walk to Lake Placid's restaurants, and there's a great restaurant a few steps away just down the hill. The owner was really responsive and helpful in accommodating our reservation on short notice, and especially in helping us locate a missing item once we left. This was my first VRBO experience and I would definitely do this again.

Ski Trip

  • 5 of 5

I recently stayed here with a group of 6 friends for a Whiteface Ski trip. The accommodations are spacious and comfortable for more than the amount of people that were in our group. The living spaces look even better in person than the photographs. Everyone had their own comfortable bed and there are 3 full bathrooms. There are some great pub style restaurants within walking distance and the center of the village is a quick drive away. The owner was very easy to work with and accommodated our particular needs. I would book the same house again when visiting the area in the future.
