About the Property
2 bedrrom farmhouse, 3-bedroom bunkhouse, Stonehouse, and 10 acres the ocean
The property offers a popular hiking trail nearby, access to the virgin beach below, and interaction with a variety of farm animals. All this contributes to an atmosphere of tranquility as well as discovery, making your visit memorable and unique.
The Stonehouse property is an ideal place for a casual, country wedding. Customize your special day by choosing from a number of ceremony sites from the overlook to the orchard. Reception possibilities include the use of a 30 x 30 event tent, sit down dinners in the Stonehouse, and a rustic dance floor in the heritage orchard under twinkle lights.
Our weekend package extends from Friday evening to mid-day Sunday and offers a one-stop location for your rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony, reception, and morning-after brunch. Accommodations for up to ten guests inside the Pumphouse Bunkhouse as well as the two bedroom farmhouse and optional camping are an added convenience to keep house guests for the weekend.
Our staff is happy to recommend and work with local vendors and an on-site, day-of wedding coordinator who can alleviate all your stress. The option of an intimate, destination wedding is also available . . . another way of celebrating on a small scale. Spending part of your honeymoon on the property adds to the romance.

The farm is located on the south end of Quadra Island, a 5 minute drive to the central island hub known as Quathisaki Cove where you can find groceries, shops, and small restaurants. Even though the farm is only a short drive to the cove, in a short distance you will find yourself in a beautiful and secluded piece of paradise that you can call yours for your special day, event, or much needed retreat. Within walking distance, you can explore the beaches of the south end, the much loved Kay Dubious trail, and the local winery for an afternoon tasting.
Numerous professional companies on the island offer daytime or overnight adventures from kayaking or diving to whale watching and bear watching tours. Experienced guides are also available for the avid sports fisherman.
On-you-own activities are numerous as well: canoeing or swimming in one of the clear, freshwater lakes, road biking, mountain biking, hiking one of the many well-maintained trails, visiting the Native Reserve’s interesting museum, or stopping at the local winery for a leisurely, wine-paired picnic.

About the owner: The Unterthiner family is committed to carrying on the vision of those who claimed this space in the past: Natives who viewed it as sacred, early pioneers working the fertile land, and the efforts of idealists to live in harmony with the earth and each other. It is our mission to foster a spirit of connection and discovery to all who come as guests or seekers.
