Named "The Verandah" for its distinctive architecture, this beautiful, 2700 square foot, newly furnished home is 300 yards from the peaceful white sand and surf of Marine Beach. The home is located centrally in the prime La Jolla neighborhood of Beach Barber Tract, known for quant historical homes within a quiet neighborhood. The famous restaurants and amazing shops of the Village are all within a mile to the north and east, an easy and beautiful walk with no need to find parking. The neighboring beach, Wind N Sea, is a short, beautiful walk to the south and is known for some of the best west coast waves, attracting surfers from all over the world! One can sit for hours watching the action of the surfers and even see an occasional whale. Read a good book, catch a nap, or just listen to the surf and watch the sunset from either of the home's two quiet upstairs balconies.

Each of the home's 4 bedrooms has its own bathroom, tub/shower, and TV. The master bedroom is large and private with a separate sitting area with fireplace and adjacent office/library complete with desk, printer and best selling books and DVDs. Attention to detail is unsurpassed - fresh flowers and fruit upon arrival, weekly maid service, new towels, and all bed linens straight from the cleaners for a beautifully pressed, cozy bed. There is a light and bright full kitchen, breakfast nook, and full dining room to fit the whole family. The home is fully stocked with every imaginable item - inside and out, including a gas grill, plush outdoor furniture, and bicycles! Two private, grassy yards are perfect for kids to play or adults to relax. Roses abound and figs and fruit are plentiful when in season!

We love the fact that we can walk anywhere from our home, yet when it's time to relax, we are located in a very quiet, peaceful location. You are minutes to everything La Jolla is famous for the village, shopping, the cove, the best restaurants, tennis courts, swimming pool, galleries, and much more. One of the nicest wide sandy beaches is just down the street. The Beach Barber Tract is a fabulous location with known for it's Old World character, historic homes and charming streets. Like us, you will also fall in love with the location and home itself.

The homeowner and house manager are extremely professional and thorough. Every attention to detail is accommodated. The location is quiet, yet close to downtown and a beach. We could not have asked for anything nicer or more beautiful!

Perfect family vacation home!

Absolutely lovely home! Beautifully decorated, clean, well stocked, great outdoors area (private!)! Short walk to beach, great walking neighborhoods, easy walk to grocery, etc. We did Uber to most restaurants we went to in evening. Uber rides very easy to book. The attention to detail in this home are amazing. We arrived to fresh flowers, fruit bowl, coffee pods, a few items in fridge and cabinets to get us started. Well supplied with towels, paper products, laundry detergent.....felt like you were staying at a friends home, not a rental! Highly recommend this property!

This house was just as advertised.

Our Thanksgiving week/family reunion was just spent here and the house was amazing. It was kid friendly, very close to the beach and an easy walk to town. Barbara brought fresh fruit and vegetables from the local farmers market and had great restaurant suggestions. With kids at UCSD we will definitely return. I would highly recommend this house to anybody looking for the perfect La Jolla location.

Barbara was welcoming and kind. She went beyond expectations as a host. Truly the best!

Our 4 kids (2, 7, 9, 11) had a blast, we only wish we could have stayed longer.

Lovely house, great location

We've stayed in a variety of vrbo rentals, and this place was the best yet. Easy access to a nice beach, walking distance to restaurants, safe neighborhoods to explore. The house was very clean and comfortable, nicely furnished with a great balcony for morning coffee or an afternoon read, it felt more like we were visiting friends than staying at a rental property. We didn't do much cooking, but kitchen had everything we might have needed. Barbara responded immediately to our questions , we felt well taken care of. We would recommend this property to anyone.
