About JoDene Arakelian
I am the Vice President of the Wasatch Mountain Lodge Foundation, a nonprofit, charitable 501(c)(3) organization, dedicated to the preservation of this unique building. 100% of the rental fees you pay go for preservation and maintenance of this historic building.
JoDene Arakelian purchased this Lodge in 1929
Why JoDene Arakelian chose Brighton
If you are looking for a rustic stay in one of the very few original log structures built in the Brighton area, you have found it. The lodge was built in 1929, and its historic feel has been preserved. A few modern updates have been added over time, such as flushing toilets, hot showers, potable mountain water, a modern kitchen, and both hot water and forced-air heating systems.
What makes this Lodge unique
The Lodge is located right in the Brighton skiing terrain, a short 300 feet out of the Brighton parking lot, so you can ski in and out during the winter months. In the summer you will find abundant wildlife, since the Lodge is located above the base facilities in the trees. At the back of the Lodge you can enjoy dining in nature on a large patio and barbecue area with picnic tables. The Lodge is a short distance from the hiking trailheads, with easy access to cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, and mountain biking.

Wonderful Wedding Location
This was the PERFECT place for our mountain wedding. The property manager responded in timely manners via text and allowed us to go to the property on different occasions to plan different things for the wedding. It was clean, spacious and wonderful! The checkout process was simple and I cannot express how perfect it was for us!
Thank you so much for your review of the Lodge. If you know of anyone that may be interested in renting the Lodge, please share our information with them. Perfect Wedding Spot
We held our wedding here a couple of weeks ago and it was magical. The location is breathtaking, and with minimal decor it turned out beautiful. We fully took advantage of the natural beauty of the site, and could not be happier on how it turned out. Our caterer even baked the desserts on-site! We loved our wedding and choosing this location was the best decision we made.
Best wedding we could of ever imagined!!
