Lots of potential
The only reasons I'm giving this condo 3 stars is #1 the condo is outdated, which the new owner plans to address over the winter, and #2 the reservation process was frustrating, as you either have to pay a refundable damage deposit plus the insurance, or pay the refundable damage deposit plus another refundable damage deposit three times the original - so it felt like I was being bullied into buying the insurance. I rent from the Knolls property owners quite frequently and most damage deposits are only half the amount of this one and no one requires any more. This was misleading, and the only reason we opted for this condo was because we waited until the last minute to reserve one.
Otherwise, my feedback for the management company is super positive! They are very quick to respond and professional!
I think this condo has a ton of potential, but the actual price right now for what you are getting is missing the mark. Outdated furniture and bathrooms, uncomfortable beds, and very limited equipment in the kitchen makes it very difficult to justify the price they are currently asking. Do some research on other Knolls condos to bring this one up to date, and reconsider your damage deposit practices. Also consider plugging the TV in to cable - if your guests don't have Netflix, etc. They have zero access to basic TV.
The Knolls is a great option for a condo rental at LOTO - the amenities here are great!
Thank you Andrea for your additional feedback. We hope you enjoyed your stay at the Knolls and come back soon. The homeowner does have plans to do some upgrades throughout the condo this winter. Some of the things he has already done are new couches, new toilets, new sink faucets, new towels and sheets.
We are sorry you feel the reservation process was unfair but these policies are put in place for everyone. The insurance protection policy we ask you to purchase covers anything that might get accidentally broken during your stay. While things break and accidents do happen this insurance helps homeowners have a piece of mind with nightly rentals. Perfect for a good value stay
The property is good for those looking for something nice but a good value. It was a nice layout for two families traveling together, would also work with a large family with bigger kids who need their own space. Kitchen was decently stocked with kitchen needs,

Fun Lake Week with Family
Fantastic location! Very spacious. Safe neighborhood. Lots of fun activities around condo: lake, pool, basketball and tennis courts.
Needs updating and a thorough cleaning. Bring toilet paper, paper towels and coffee (only enough stock for 2 days). No cable but had Hulu and Netflix. Outlets not working in master bathroom and several other areas.
New owner that plans to update over winter. Lots of potential for this great location!

Very sorry to hear you had issues finding a boat slip that was not included in our vacation rental. While the Knolls condos do provide homeowners slips they are more than welcome to not allow renters to use them. We got your phone call around 7pm on Friday inquiring about the boat slip for a rental boat you had for 2 nights. Which if this was brought to our attention we would have asked you to park it else where since the slip with this condo has pwc hoists.
So the information you are looking for was not provided due to this reason. We ask renters to park other places or find additional parking overnight.
We are confused as to how check in was difficult when we sent you a text message at your request the day before with the address/ building number and code for entry the day of your stay. We do apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused you. We do hope you stay again next summer.
