Comfortable & well appointed
It was as advertised. Juliet was very helpful and gave us good tips for bread and restaurants.
We stayed a week in this little studio which was very well located in Lyon. We could walk everywhere in the old city which was great. Also it was near bakeries and many restaurants. Getting a parking spot from the owners was a bonus and very much appreciated. The only drawback was the narrow winding stairs to get to up and down. It had everything we needed but it was smaller than we anticipated. Not suitable for preparing food as there are no counter space and very few dishes. However, the hosts Juliette and Eric were very accommodating.
Clean and Comfortable
Great location and a nice place to stay in Lyon
The apartment was very nice. The only drawback were the spiral stairs to get to it. For the elderly it was not ideal. I knew the apartment was on the 4th floor but I did not realize how small and narrow the stairs would be. It was very close to old Lyon which was very nice. We walked everywhere and the free parking was a big plus.
Well located studio apartment in Vieux Lyon
A great example of innovative design in a small space, a compact but very comfortable modern apartment in an historically interesting building and neighbourhood. Spacious shower a particularly welcome feature. Communications with owners very easy and we were greeted and fully briefed on arrival. Very suited for a couple and within easy walking distance of major historic sites, cafes, bakeries and convenience stores.
The apartment was as described. A studio very well laid out and efficient. Everything one needed. Quiet neighborhood, noise wise. The best thing about the apartment was the location. It is very easy walking distance to all the key sites and areas in Lyon.
Just be aware of the check in time. Owners said their website states 18:00, however my information from VRBO stated 16:00. 18:00 is the latest check in time I have ever experienced.
For leisure stopover or business trips, alone or in pairs, stay in the Saint Paul, in the heart of old Lyon. Conveniently located near all activities: tours, shopping, opera and theater, walks on foot, by bike or by boat. In the historic heart World Heritage of Unesco, close to the Rue Saint Jean and its alleyways, restaurants and bars in the center of the Fourvière hill and the chic Lyon peninsula. The red cross is accessible on foot and by public transport.
What to do in the neighborhood: wander to the streets with the colors of Italy and dotted with medieval cobblestones, accompanied by music bands, guitarists and accordionists. Treat yourself to an ice cream at the best architect of Lyon after a rewarding visit Gadagne Museum, which chronicles the history of the town, or the amazing miniature museum and cinema. Sit on the terrace of one of the traditional corks that dot the area, and then take the funicular charming Fourvière to admire the view from the esplanade of the basilica. Book tickets for one of the shows Guignol presented by the company of Zonzons finesse, humor and quality are waiting for you! Many dinner theaters will also welcome you if you are fans of shows and humorous or satirical skits.
You can also visit the nearby opera for an unforgettable evening.
