Enjoyed Our Stay

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was tucked away, yet conveniently close to DuPont Nat'l Forest. We enjoyed hiking to see the waterfalls. The cabin was private and had everything we needed for our stay.

It was a great place for getaway. The cabin located close to DuPont Forest with the falls and hiking. Caught some nice trout from the pond. Enjoy.

Peaceful escape

  • 5 of 5

Our second stay was as enjoyable as our first! Our 3yr old caught her 1st fish at the pond and her mom and I found serenity at this tucked away property. For however tucked away, you cannot find a more convenient location near DuPont trail entrance & Hooker Falls. Bottom line at this price point the property represents a terrific value!

Beautiful cabin nestled in the mountains away from it all.

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful cabin nestled in the woods. The cabin was very clean and the pond is just a stones throw from the house. Brevard is a beautiful little mountain busy with people enjoying the resturants and shops. Sliding Rock is a must as is looking glass falls and anything else in Pisgah National Park. We enjoyed sitting in the rocking chairs on the front porch listening to the frogs and crickets at night while listening to our grand children laugh, play and tell their stories. These two Nanna' s laughed and helped to create new memories with them...wish we had had a few more days. We will be back.

Beautiful property, very secluded if you wish to be out of the way of life.

  • 5 of 5

Home was very clean and cozy. Everything you needed was provided. Trout pond was definitely stocked but unless you read the reviews, you don't know that you have to pay $4 per pound to keep them for cooking. Plus, you can't throw them back because of the fish health reasons which is understandable for the owners trying to keep the pond in good shape. That was a little disappointing for my husband when we first got there but we kept busy after that hiking nearby trails and touring areas close by. Still, a beautiful cabin away from the hustle and bustle of every day life and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

NICE but lacks amenities.

  • 3 of 5

The setting is beautiful but the road is a little steep. I enjoyed my stay but I couldn't possibly cook as the few cookware there was old beat up Teflon and not much else. Not a wine glass either.

The bathroom had only 1softsoap, no gel or soap for the shower. No Kleenex. I was asked to sweep the floor but my feet were dirty when bare-foot.

I would probably stay again but I would know what I would have to personally bring. I just got back from a rental in Mission Beach, CA. and there were little lotions, shampoo, conditioner and gel.
