My name is Stefania, I was bord in Bologna but I spent most of my life travelling and working abroad (Africa and Latin America) in cooperation for development. In 2007 I came back to Italy and I decided to experience working and living in Rome. Here I met Luciano, my husband, and after some years of 'dolce vita' in Rome our baby was born, so we decided to start a new life in Toscana where now we organize biking and sailing trips.
Stefania purchased this Apartment in 2006
Why Stefania chose Vatican
This apartment has a short but very intensive story: for some years it was the location for a recording studio (run by Luciano, my husband); actually you will find still a soundproofed bedroom. Then it was our love nest and when my baby was bord we decided to move in a more natural environment (in south Tuscany, Maremma). From that day we decided to transform our house in a house for vacation officially registered at the Municipality of Rome. Today when we have some days free we still come and spend some days here to enjoy the best that Rome can offer us as tourists.
What makes this Apartment unique
The apartment is really very bright. From the kitchen you can see the Vatican walls and the tower inside the Vatican gardens. From the balcony you can admire the San peter Basilica, so suggestive at night! Our hosts love come back home in the evening after a day in the city enjoing nice views, silence and fresh air in summer.

Less than what we expected
The apartment was well located for the Vatican etc and quite well appointed as far as pots, pans etc. The one drawback is the size of the second bedroom and shower. The second shower is, in my opinion, too small for an adult and should be stated as such. Our party was two adult couples so not satisfactory for the second couple.
Great apartment with loads of space
We had 4 adults staying here for 3 days and we found it a great space with just what we needed. We loved the space, the homey-ness and the way we were greeted and treated. This place has everything you need and is just a short walk from bus and metro stops. We appreciated the map and list of restaurants and markets with walking distance.
Excelentes dias, belleza, casa y Roma...
Gracias por unos excelentes dias en tu bella casa de Roma. Para nosotros fue un placer sentirnos tranquilos y disfrutar de comodidad y buena energia! Un abrazo. Cecilia
The house was perfect.
The house was perfect, very spacious, full of light, comfortable and very well equipped! It has 3 lovely balconies and you can see the Vatican Basilica from all the apartment, so beautiful at night! We particularly appreciated the position, some steps from San Peter but so quiet when you come back after the day in the city and near all main attractions. We always felt secure. Also the neighbour is nice, very typical and "roman". Stefania was so helpful and attentive in making us feel at home, left for us a map of the area, a list of all the best places to go in the night (typical roman life). Next time we will come to Rome we will surely choose this place and we would recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful place to stay in Rome.
Great apartment few steps from Vatican city
We had a very comfortable stay here and would highly recommend this apartment as it is very beautiful, tranquil and located close to the centre of Rome.
The views of the main bedroom were particularly lovely to come home to after a big day of sight seeing.
The exact location of the apartment is close to the Vatican Walls, on the second floor of a Liberty Building.
The location of the apartment is very good as you can reach easily all the main sightseeing, such as Piazza Navona, Campo Dei Fiori, Pantheon etc. The area is well connected even at night with night buses; Termini Station is 20 minutes away.
The San Peter Station is 10 minutes walking along the “Walk of Jasmine”, a suspended pedestrian path which in springtime become full of jasmine (very suggestive).
Just 10 minutes away, you can find the traditional local market of Gregory VII where you can buy typical roman food in a family atmosphere.
Suggested area nearby:
- 2 km you can visit the largest park in Rome, Villa Dora Pamphili
- the Janiculum, a Roman hill where you will see the entire city of Rome and its surroundings.
- Trastevere, the area where you can really experience the roman life, is 20 minutes walking away.
