About Nicholas Blair-Fish
I originally came to Venice around twelve years ago. I had always loved this city of light and water and art. My original interest in coming here was painting which I try to do as much as possible, but I have also grown to love the peaceful nature of Venice with the absence of cars and as you can see from the photo I spend a lot of time on the water.
Nicholas Blair-Fish purchased this Studio in 2014
Why Nicholas Blair-Fish chose Venice-Murano-Burano
I like ground floor apartments, ie no stairs which can be really tiresome in Venice particularly when you are carrying shopping or after a long day's sight-seeing. This apartment is high enough for "acqua alta" not to be a problem unless it is really exceptional in which case all of Venice will be affected. But the major attraction of the apartment is its superb location between the Grand Canal on one side and the long waterfront of Zattere facing the Guidecca island on the other. It is always popular, both in winter and summer because of the warm sunshine and beautiful far perspective.
What makes this Studio unique
This apartment has recently been completely renovated from the bare walls upwards. I have tried to restore the Venetian character by revealing the original arches that supported the structure and showing exposed painted beams and brickwork in places. In other respects the apartment is modern with kitchen and bathroom appliances as befits an apartment for living and letting in this day and age. There is air-conditioning, Wi-Fi, comfortable furniture etc. The apartment is very close to major tourist attractions, and at the same time secluded down a quiet 'calle' (street). Bars, restaurants & a supermarket are within easy walking distance.

Great street level apartment close to the water bus stop.
Great. Well equipped.
The apartment was lovely and very well located and on the ground floor - a plus after a day of ups and downs of Venice's stairs. I downgraded it because it was damp and there were sewer smells in the otherwise very modern bathroom. Also, the "greeter" delayed our departure causing us much concern that we would miss our train, but in the end she returned our cash deposit by PayPal and all was well.
We would return. Beverly from California
Nice property very centrally based
Nice property, dark but nicely done - however the bed was broken and although we were assured it would be mended but it wasn't, despite chasing and getting up early to let them in to mend it - so we had 3 disturbed nights sleep. There also wasn't a hair dryer, which may sound silly but when you are travelling hand luggage only you expect what they say to be there, to be there, that said They rectified this on the second night. So it's a great apartment for 2 people, very central and nicely done but for the amount we paid it wasn't up to scratch, we could have stayed in a good hotel, who would have addressed our concerns for less.
Beautiful recently renovated apartment!!
Nick did an excellent of renovating this space into a lovely apartment. Very clean and all new furnishings. Quiet location, yet close to Accedemia bridge. I would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a cozy, romantic get away.
Wunderschönes Apartment in idealer Lage
Venice 'La Serenissima' is already world famous. The number one romantic destination. What to do here? Some people come to party, others to get away from it all, from the hustle and bustle of modern life to enjoy a tranquil city with no cars where transport is by boat or on your own two feet! A paradise for artists and photographers. Everyone can find their own reasons for being captivated by this magical city. For some it is the museums, churches and art, the Biennale every other year, for others it's just the relaxed lifestyle, bars and cicchetti on every corner, the food, the restaurants. Or perhaps as the home of Vivaldi... the music which is on offer in many churches and, of course, in the world famous Fenice opera house.
