Mauka Hale is a fully remodeled Hawaiian style plantation home that can comfortably sleep up to a maximum of four guests (including children). From the front door you are just 2 blocks away from the expansive Dole park, city restaurants, the coffee shop, a world class golf course, horse back riding, and much more. Or for those of you just needing some rest and relaxation just sit back and enjoy some of the fresh tropical fruit growing on the property.
Mauka Hale is a two bedroom, one and a half bath plantation style home. Though remodeled the home has maintained its original charm and Hawaiian style. The master bedroom includes a king size bed, ample storage space for clothes, and a great view of the landscaped backyard. The second bedroom has a queen size bed and a view of the charming front Lanai. The family room has a flat screen TV and DVD player, an inviting couch with chaise, and French doors that lead you to the back deck. The kitchen is fully stocked and ready for all your cooking needs.

In compliance with Maui County rules we can only allow a maximum of 4 guests at a time since this is a two bedroom house, and out of respect to our neighbors.
As required by Maui County rules and regulations, Quiet Hours: 9:00 pm - 8:00 am. NO AMPLIFIED SOUND AT ALL TIMES.
Designated parking is provided off-street.

We have a four-night minimum stay (seven-night minimum stay is required on all major holidays and holiday weekends throughout the year, including special event weekends).
A copy of the Mauka Hale house/property rules and regulations agreement must be completed, signed and received with payment prior to arrival.
Cancellation Policy: Refunds will not be made for cancellations or early departures.
Check-in time is 4:00PM (unless arranged otherwise); Check-out time is 10:00 AM.
The house was perfect with everything one would need. Being close to town was convenient. The beds were great, the porches were great to eat outside. Everything has been maintained with loving care. We really enjoyed the community pool. Richard's market was great and the Hotel Lanai has a wonderful menu for dining. I highly recommend this place. With the shuttle service you do not need to rent a car. It was a great vacation. Cindy Lee, Placentia Ca.

The home was clean, comfortable, and had a wonderfully furnished kitchen. I would stay there again on my next visit to the island.
Everything you read praising this rental is true. It is charming and well kept. Here are a few other things to think about:
Since it is 2 bdrm and 1 1/2 bath, you may consider sharing this house with others. All walls inside and out are one sided, not sound proof, so all sounds can be heard anywhere inside. Great rental for family members or very, very close friends.
Lanai City is an elevation of 1,500 ft or more and is a great deal cooler than most Hawaiian resorts at sea level. Our week stay during the end of January was incredibly cold and windy. That was very unexpected since we stayed at Hotel Lanai the same time last year and air temp was very pleasant. This house, like most in Lanai City, has no heat, no a/c either. There was a reason why everyone local was wearing parkas. Locals told us cold is not unusual here. I brought mine for the aircraft but my wife figured why take a parka to Hawaii? Because the wind drifted through the windows and doors and the walls are single sided, the inside was just as cold as the outside. We also longed for sweat pants. Hardly the conditions for Mai Tai Happy Hour. We did not go out for many walks but spent much time watching a beautiful TV set in the living room while wrapped in blankets. Soon after we arrived, we had to take the ferry to Maui to buy a parka for my wife since there were none available in Lanai City. As we learned from our ferry ride, temps at sea level were very pleasant. I suggest if you travel in winter, take a parka and sweat pants to be safe.
We love this little town, its shops and all restaurants. Take extra cash since the restaurants don't take credit cards.
Soon after we arrived they closed the airport because of high winds. One of the attractions we wanted to return for was the Olympic size public pool. It was closed. The heater hadn't been working for 5 weeks. We were told that couple of months ago the island power was out for over 2 days. During this visit we thought we'd go for our first visit to the beautiful theater. The projector broke down. They were very kind and offered credits for another show.
No one can anticipate the weather and those, including ourselves, who have traveled to the Hawaiian Islands many times have had their vacations defined by constant rain or heat. We never anticipated cold. Beautiful house and town but be prepared for cold in winter.
The house had everything we needed and more. We enjoyed the island feel to the home and it was located near all the shops that were in walking distance. Loved the back porch which was very spacious and a nice place to enjoy the beautiful weather and tropical breeze.
It was very clean and well-maintained. Would highly recommend this place!
