In the ‘heart’ of Covent Garden and London’s main theatre and entertainment district, Shelton Street is only 2 minutes walk from Covent Garden market with its famous Victorian architecture and vibrant mix of craft stalls, boutique shops and street entertainment and of course the Royal Opera House. For Jazz fans Ronnie Scott’s Club and the Spice of Life pub are within strolling distance. As Artists ourselves we can direct you to all the latest live music events (including our own!).

Covent Garden Underground Station (Piccadilly line direct from/to Heathrow Airport) is within a short walk from the apartment (approx. 3 minutes). There are so many restaurants (Carluccio’s, The Ivy to name two), famous theatres and bars close by that we can’t name them all here! In fact, there is so much to see on-foot, within your immediate vicinity, you won’t need to use the Underground at all if you choose not to!

If you do want to travel further afield there are a number of Underground stations close by, taking you to for example, London’s Westminster premier shopping streets, Oxford Street, Knightsbridge and Kensington, or to visit St. James Park and Buckingham Palace. Also within easy walking distance is Piccadilly Circus, the River Thames and its South Bank attractions, Trafalgar Square and 10 Downing Street. For a day trip further afield, Charing Cross Mainline Station, is within easy walking distance and will take you to the South coast of England in under 2 hours.

The apartment itself is within a small development of recently built apartments constructed within a small, traditional Victorian warehouse building, which retains a wealth of traditional, architectural character and benefits from modern easy-to-clean facilities such as wide oak flooring and the latest kitchen and bathroom designs. Appliances include: washer/drier; microwave; hob; oven and fridge-freezer. Being located in a quiet street behind Long Acre, (one of the main shopping streets in Covent Garden), means you can keep popping back home to drop off your shopping, or before going out to the theatre in the evening, to put your feet-up and have a cup of tea!

The apartment interior and furnishings are contemporary in design and furnishings, with multi-channel television, DVD/video player and Hi Fi available for your entertainment (with a selection of CDs, DVDs and videos). Sleeping arrangements (for up to six adults) include two bedrooms, one with a king size bed and one a zip & link super king size bed, which can be easily transformed into twin beds (ideal for children). There is further accommodation on a double sofa-bed in the living room. All linen is included. Tesco Metro and Marks and Spencer are both within 2 minutes walk for grocery supplies. China crockery cooking utensils, bed linen and towels are all provided.

Superb location + friendly owners = great vacation

It's a one year anniversary since three of us rented this nice, clean and cozy apartment. It looked exactly as pictured. It had a feeling of a freshly remodeled place and we liked it a lot.

Our eight year old enjoyed her own bedroom just to herself and needless to say we enjoyed this fact too.

We arrived rather late at night. Alison was extremely friendly and helpful. She stayed for quite a while to show us around. Five days later Alison and Don helped us to catch a cab back to the airport. Openness and friendliness of the owners deserves a special praise. You rock!

I can not add much to the location as it speaks for itself, being within a walking distance of nearly everything. The rest is easily accessible though a convenient Piccadilly line. Do not miss Belgo Centraal next door -- look it up now. The mussels and beer was fantastic.

I'd not hesitate for a moment to recommend this place to a friend. In fact this is exactly what we did on a number of occasions. Nor will we hesitate to rent it again.

Perfect location, extremely accommodating host

The apartment was nice and clean, well-equipped and the location was absolutely perfect. We were there with two teenagers that fell in love with Covent Garden and Leicester Square. We walked easily to the Eye, St Paul's, Westminster and Buckingham Place, without any complaining from the kids, which tells you a lot. Tube location was so close and easy to use, with quick jaunts to Harrods, Museum of Natural History, Tower Bridge, Tower of London, and Camden Market based on Martin's recommendation. So now to Martin...we could not have asked for someone more helpful. It started with our original booking and his quick response, then we were able to leave earlier for our trip to London, so contacted him to ask if the flat was available. We told him we couldn't commit to the earlier dates as yet, since we are flying standby, but would have a pretty good idea the day before. Luckily for us we were able to start our vacation four days earlier and Martin made it work so we didn't have to find another place to fill in the days until our original booking. He met us on our arrival at the apartment (BTW, easiest ride on the Piccadilly line direct from Heathrow to Covent Garden stop and two minute walk to apartment) and gave us a thorough review of the apartment, area, and things to do. We definitely used a lot of his recommendations. Late that night before our scheduled departure we received an email (1045 PM) that our flight the next day was cancelled to Venice. Needless to say, we were extremely stressed about our flight and needing a place to stay an extra night. We contacted Martin that night, not expecting to hear from him until the next morning, but he promptly returned our call. We filled him in on the situation, he did some checking and called us right back let us know the apartment was available the next two nights, if needed. Thankfully we only needed one more night, but we are so appreciative of all his quick responses to everything, starting with the first message we sent him regarding renting the unit to the last phone call we had with him as we boarded our flight from Gatwick, to let him know we were out of the apartment. We loved our ten days in London and would definitely stay here again, due to how Martin dealt with us, and the perfect location. It was fun just to go out and walk around the area. Can't wait to go back.

comfortable homey apartment in a perfect location

The apartment was a surprise: we knew that the location is perfect, but we weren't sure about the apartment itself. Fortunately, it was comfortable, homey, well-lit and well-equipped, and we just loved it. Martin was very welcoming, helpful and considerate. And the location is absolute, especially for opera and music fans: not only the Covent Garden Royal Opera House and the English National Opera are in your back yard, but also the Royal Festival Hall is in walking distance. Our only request from the owner is to add two small reading lights and a small shelf above the bed in the main bedroom, for those who love to read before going to sleep. But we overcame this minor detail, and we intend and hope to there stay again.

Outstanding location, handy, well equipped flat

This small, compact flat had all one needed for a comfortable stay. Martin was an excellent host who was easy to reach by phone and was on hand to explain the details and make great recommendations for restaurants. Main bedroom was rather tight and we had to climb over each other to get into bed but bed slept well. Wonderful hot water for shower. Lots of storage and kitchen was well equipped with plenty of dishes, utensils and cookware. We would recommend this property for its location near theaters, restaurants and museums. Only a few steps up from foyer to elevator. Thanks for the stay.

Comfy flat, excellent location in Covent Garden

The host, Martin, was extremely kind and helpful. This very clean two bedroom one bath flat was quite small but had the necessary amenities. Getting into the double bed was a challenge as it filled the room. 2nd bedroom had two single beds. Lots of storage in the hall stocked with helpful tourist information.

The kitchen was well stocked and nicely organized with condiments, plenty of dishes and cutlery. Dishwasher was good, washing machine very handy altho dryer did not work. The best thing was the location. So close to all the main sights and restaurants and theaters. Martin recommended a wonderful restaurant in Covent Garden. The recommendation to buy an Oyster card at the station was terrific. We started with 5 pounds each and added another 5 for riding the tube and bus. We would absolutely recommend this lodging and the manager. D and J, Tennessee, USA

Lovely rental for our family!

We had a WONDERFUL stay in this flat with our two children (4 and 6 years old). The location is perfect - please try the Belgian restaurant next door!!!!! - close to markets and food. Martin met us for our late arrival and gave us all the info we needed. I would definitely stay here again! Also, if you want to hire a car for airport transfers, hire the recommended company. We did not and regret it!
