A perfect tucked away location, yet in the middle of everything!
This beautiful old home has a great yard to play, sit, hangout, and BBQ in and you cannot really hear any of the bustle from the surrounding streets due to being set back behind the street front, and the woods around the other half of the house. Plus this place is walking distance to absolutely everything! We literally parked our cars and they sat there for the full trip and were able to walk to the grocery store, the monument, farmers market, downtown and the beach with no issues at all. I could not have asked for a better getaway spot for my friends and I for our girls weekend! There were six of us and we had more than enough space in this home for all of us and all our overstuffed baggage! I highly recommend this cute and quite antique home to anyone looking for a great getaway spot in P-Town. LOVED IT, I just can't say enough about the great time we had here!
We loved the hammocks and outdoor space. To have so much outdoor space so close to the restaurants, shopping and beach was amazing.
Glad you enjoyed the cool, grassy respite from the steam and excitement of downtown and the beach!
Beach House Charm
Beautiful yard to sit in and enjoy a cookout. Love the old charm throughout the house. The kitchen has everything needed. Nice place to relax with a short walk to enjoy the beach during the day. Shopping, dining, groceries are all a short walk away as well. Lots of room to spread out and enjoy some privacy. The later checkout gives time to load the car and give that last sweep inside. It was really great to have parking too! Looking forward to enjoying a stay hear again~Riley/Medeiros 8/19/17
So glad you enjoyed the house and the area!
Hidden Diamond in the Rough
Several friends and I recently stayed at this property recently with our dogs and loved it. It's a little time worn, but very charming and comfortable.
The location is perfect: just off Bradford Street and Shankpainter Road, so you are only one block away from the heart of Ptown (Joe's Coffee, Boatslip, restaurants) and all the attractions there. The supermarket is just a short walk away as are places to rent bikes.
The house itself is large with ample space. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils, plates, cooking items if you want to cook. There are two bathrooms and an outdoor showers that is wonderful after a day at the beach. The bedrooms are all comfortable with linens and blankets. There is also a pullout sofa in the living room.
The yard is gigantic and great for relaxing and letting dogs run free. It's not completely fenced, but we didn't have any problems. Parking was great. No small, hard to navigate spaces here. It was wonderful to be able to just pull into the property.
The house does not have central air conditioning, but there are a couple of window units and lots of fans. We found that having the windows open sufficiently cooled the house and it was nice to leave the windows open, especially at night to let the cool cape air in.
Finally, the property owners were wonderful. We met them when we checked in and they were lovely. We needed to contact them with a question while we were there and they responded immediately. The whole process of renting from them has been easy.
We would definitely rent this property again.
Glad you could come and enjoyed everything!
The description is accurate -- it's a charming and very peaceful antique
The house is just as described - if you like old houses and character you will love this house. An extra plus is the incredibly large, shady and quiet yard. Our small kids and old dog loved it. The main downside from our perspective was that both bathrooms are downstairs and the bedrooms are upstairs (up a steep staircase). That said we'd love to rent it again.
Great old house, great location - exactly as described.
This house worked perfectly for us. We were 6 in the middle of July. It was hot, but the shady yard protected us. It was so easy to wander into town whenever we felt like it, but far enough away to never be bothered by late night party people.
Glad the house and shaded yard were a nice respite while still being close to the fun!
Enter driveway between brick pillars and follow to last house on the left at end of drive.
Other Activities: National Seashore dunes, paved bike path, sea kayaking
