Great Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We have been at Larry's home 7 or 8 years. It is nicely maintained and well stocked. We bring our boat and enjoy the Lake. Fishing is always a part of each day. We visit Fishtown and Suttons Bay just short drives. We have purchased pies from Lake Leelauna Pie Company. Yummy. Our family comes also and we enjoy the shallow water in front of home for grand kids playing . Canoes were a hit this year for everyone. Larry has always returned phone calls quickly and checks in during our stay. The weather was perfect this week we stayed. What a beautiful place to spend our vacation.

Perfect up north spot!

  • 5 of 5

A clean, comfortable home with everything we needed to enjoy a week up north- kayaks, private boat dock, sandy bottom lake front, and close to Leland, Traverse, Bear Dunes, Suttons Bay. Perfect size for our 2 families of 4. Larry was easy to work with and available for anything we needed.

Our favorite place!

  • 5 of 5

My family (wife and 3 daughters) have stayed at Larry's place twice. We have had the chance to rent several places through VRBO and this is by far our favorite. It is a beautiful property and is wonderfully maintained. Lots of outdoor activities to keep everyone busy - sand volleyball court, kayaks, swimming, beautiful outside dining/grilling area, basketball hoop, and fire pit. This home has everything you will need for a great vacation. I would highly recommend renting the pontoon or bringing your own boat as there are great sandbars to splash around in and fun places to eat and shop on the lake. We can't wait for our next visit!

Beautiful South Lake Leelanau

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at the cottage was fantastic! The cottage is adorable and so comfortable! We felt right at home from the moment we walked inside! It was spotless and had every single accommodation you would ever need and more! The outside sandbox and firepit were great! The deck overlooking the lake was perfect! Lots of comfortable seating and lots of places to enjoy our outdoor meals! We enjoyed the sleep number mattress in the master bedroom.......that luxury was an unexpected surprise......and the private bathroom was really nice. We had a really memorable week in a beautiful location!

Wonderful Family Vacation!

  • 5 of 5

Our two week-long stay at the lovely Fleis rental home was a wonderful family summer vacation for all of us. It is nicely furnished, well-maintained, clean and comfortable, and perfect for our large family.

Our weather was very warm and sunny every day so we spent a lot of time “at home” – swimming, fishing, kayaking, throwing the Frisbee, and kids playing in the sandbox. We were glad we decided to rent their pontoon for a week which was the highlight of our visit. We spent hours on the pontoon exploring beautiful Lake Leelanau and some of us went tubing. It was fun to anchor at the sandbar for swimming and socializing with other boaters.

The outdoor area was ideal for our family. We loved the large deck, big yard and the beautiful flower garden. The nice gas grill worked out great for cooking meals outside. Evenings weren’t complete until we sat by the fire pit and then we each made our own s’more.

The owners do an excellent job of providing for everything you need. If anything comes up, they are very responsive.

We have been to Northern Michigan many times and we just love it. We especially enjoyed two restaurants in the area -- Knot Just a Bar in Omena and Blu in Glen Arbor. Our favorite golf courses were Manitou Passage in Cedar and Northport Creek in Northport.

It was really very nice and everything we hoped for in a vacation rental for our family. We will definitely return.

This home is in a great location- a short drive to all of the main attractions of Leelanau! The other reviews are correct: this house comes well equipped kitchen, and plenty of space. The sand box is great, and the lake is knee-deep to the end of the dock... perfect for families with small kids! Larry provided kayaks, which was a nice way to enjoy the lake. Trust me, you won't be disappointed with this rental!
