Nice Apartment but a few things could be improved
The apartment itself was pleasant enough with plenty of space for five of us and it was clean and tidy upon arrival. It has a lovely patio area, which we used daily - also providing a good place to dry clothes.
There are however a few things I would say about this apartment that were a little disappointing. 1) The address given took us to two completely different places around the area - we still can't figure out the street as the front of the apartment isn't on the street that we were given. To be fair we were given help over the phone to get to the apartment but it was a complete inconvenience. 2)Upon arrival, you have to park up at a local car park to then walk around to the apartment to collect the keys in order to gain access to car park. This was a real faff, especially after a long drive and three children. 3)The outside approach to the apartments is very unpleasant - a derelict multi storey building and a shut down supermarket...this isn't shown on the photos! 4)The door handle on the front door is broken making it really difficult to gain access to the apartment. 5) Only one set of keys provided - a real pain 6) No bedding provided for the extra pull out bed...we looked all over the apartment and in the end had to make do with some bits and bobs that we found 7) Our main concern was over the security of the apartment. The patio doors are really insufficient and could simple be opened from the patio despite being locked. We did contact the company that was looking after the apartment (as it is clearly sublet further from Home & Away) and they reassured us that the locksmith had fixed it...he had not as my husband could again simply open the door from the patio. This was particularly problematic as there wasn't a safe in the room, meaning that we felt compelled to keep our belongings with us...not great when you are going to the beach. 8) No toilets at the pool area...a real pain with three young children.
The apartment is well located and convenient for the local Arenal Beach (which is a great place by the way) but I do think there are things that need to be improved and the photos provided are a little deceptive about the surroundings.

The address given is correct - I'm sorry you struggled to find it. You can park right outside so there is no need to walk far to enter the complex. We always take clients into the property before going to the car park.
The locksmith returned again and fixed the lock. The bed for guest five is available on request and had you requested it we would have provided a full set of linen. We really don't expect you to struggle and make do. I'm sorry if this wasn't clear.
The supermarket has only just closed and moved across the street.
The area is beautiful and the apartment has a fabulous location - hopefully the building that has been put on hold will be finished over the winter
Goede rustige locatie dichtbij strand!
Wij waren samen met onze twee kinderen van 16 en 18 jaar in het appartement. Pluspunten: ruim appartement, rustige ligging zonder verkeer aan balkonzijde. Fijn zwembad. Maar 5 min lopen naar strand en goede supermarkt op 100 meter. Handig eigen parkeer plek in ondergrondse garage. Aankomst bij appartement is in drukke niet zo n mooie straat maar zodra je de poort door bent merk je daar niets meer van! Enige verbeterpunt: er is alleen maar airco in de woonkamer, die is niet toereikend voor de slaapkamers. Gezien warme temperaturen is airco in slaapkamers wenselijk. Contact over toegang was ook goed.
