We loved it!
The Palms at Sunset Beach was the perfect rental on the North Shore for my fiance and I. We stayed 3 nights and we wish we could have stayed longer! It has everything that you would need in a rental. The BBQ worked great, the bed was super comfy, the kitchen is very well stocked and it is decorated so well. The furniture is so much nicer than typical "vacation rental" furniture. It was also so clean when we arrived which is a huge plus for me. Jenny & Marcus couldn't have been more accommodating or nicer. They were so helpful with anything that we needed. I've been coming to the North Shore with my family once a year for almost 30 years and this is one of the nicest rentals I have ever stayed in. We can't wait to come back!
Lovely place to stay
Awesome location, tidy unit with more space than it appears in the photos. We had a lovely time. All the previous reviews highlight the small issues with the property - the kitchen slider doors are pretty frustrating and should really be removed but that is just our opinion - they are right up against the cupboard meaning you can only get to half of the kitchen at any one time.
Otherwise we had no issues and would stay again as it was lovely.
PERFECT for our anniversary! We will return.
Nice acomodation, nice place, nice people.
An enjoyable stay
Had a great stay here over 5 nights in December. Perfectly located spot, a short drive to hale'iwa and all the local surfbreaks.
Jenny was lovely and helpful with anything we needed.
Only downsides were the floorboards were a bit creaky with people walking around upstairs in the main house & the doors on the kitchen were constantly in the way. The bed is big but perhaps a bit soft for us.
Overall a great stay and would happily stay again.
pros and cons
Great location and view!
Bed/linen and sofa are comfortable.
The outdoor light didn't seem to work which made it hard to use the BBQ or the table after dark.
A small table to eat indoors would be nice. There is space for it.
The sliding panels always block part of the kitchenette so you can't access the entire kitchenette. It was a pain having to slide them a lot while preparing food. It would be a huge improvement to remove all 4 panels.
Carpet for tropical climate is not ideal. I think it contributes to a slightly damp smell when you first walk in.
