A lovely villa, we had a perfect holiday. The pool was a great asset
Lovely villa In a peaceful location. Fantastic views from the roof terrace. We really enjoyed the holiday. We hired a car from Autoreisen at the airport. Best of both worlds; peaceful villa and nip into Calletta or beach when needed. Highly Recommend
what a let down after reading that we were a 15 minute walk into town that's rubbish it took us 50 mins. really disappointed with the place really uncomfortable chairs in lounge and smelly. dangerous on tiled stairway no handrails at all, the cushions for the loungers were disgusting, the swimming pool was nice and quiet but that was because the water was freezing cold. certainly wouldn't recommend for children as was positively dangerous in parts . dogs barking all day and night cats constantly using the 'garden' as toilet ridiculous amount of flies every time you opened door could not use roof terrace as was to dangerous to go up steps would definitely not recommend to anyone. Plus there were no instructions for anything the t.v cooker washing machine .all the worktops were sticky and needed bleaching before we could use them. and just to round it off next was doing home imorovements at all hours
Sorry, you did not enjoy your stay, thank you for making us aware of your issues.
The property overview does not state the walk is 15 mins to the town or that the pool is heated.
The photos clearly show the property has tiled floors and the steps to the roof terrace.
Sunscreen does get on the cushions on the loungers, but we do supply a large number of towels to cover them.
Guests have ever needed instructions to operate the TV, cooker or washing machine before.
The pool is very popular with children and families that return year on year.
Almost all our reviews are positive and if guests make us aware of issues during their stay, we almost always can do something to help.
Wishing all the very best.
Fantastic place to stay
Very well appointed property on 3 levels with fantastic views on quiet complex with well kept pool for residents only. Cannot recommend highly enough - nice walk down to Caleta and taxi back only 3-4 Euros. Ideal base for exploring the island and only 10 minutes from the airport. Communication with owners excellent.
lovely apartment and town, slightly inconvenient location but we managed that :)
well equipped apartment, especially kitchen! nice big bath tub, and 2 balconys! would not want to be so far away from the shops next time but close to airport, was kinda cool watching the planes
Thanks for your kind words, hopefully see you again.
Visit March 2018
The apartment is well furnished and has everything that you need to a long term or short term stay. Nice and quiet in the area. Quiet neighbors too.
The owner Stephen is very quick to respond to any questions that you might have about the apartment etc.
The apartment is situated at the top of a hill and although we enjoyed the walk to and from the town it was quite an uphill or downhill trek and would require a reasonable level of mobility to manage it. Obviously taxis are available at 5 euros per trip.
It you were thinking of getting a taxi each journey if might be worth considering hiring a car.
If you get a taxi on the first trip to the apartment if you say you are going to Montana Blanca they seem to know where that is as opposed to the actual address.
We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday there.
Peter, we are so pleased you had a nice time. Hope to see you again soon. All the best. Stephen
Nice property, lovely to have 2 bathrooms. We walked down the hill every day and took a taxi back up (approx. 4 Euros). Best outing was to Betancuria, the old capital, very quaint and lovely traditional tapas. Also visited Antigua and Puerto del Rosario, very reasonable bus fares. Recommended restaurants: KM (opposite El Patio) - great steaks and friendly, hard-working owners; CaffeNero Mediterranean Food for lunch - beautifully presented; China - takeaway service available. Apartment owner and manager were very helpful when we had boiler and electrical problems. The boiler was replaced the day after we reported it and the owner compensated us financially. Good, reasonably-priced holiday apartment.
Pleased you enjoyed your stay. Nice to see you enjoyed the island by bus and the great local restaurants. Hope to see you again soon. Stephen
The Canary Islands region
With three thousand hours of sunshine a year, Fuerteventura is the closest Canary Island to the African coast with only 100km separating the 'Punta de la Entallada' from Cape Juby in Morroco and is the second largest (after Tenerife) of all the islands.
The weather conditions of Fuerteventura are very similar to Florida and Mexico which are on the same latitude, which make this the ideal holiday location.
There is nowhere else in the Canaries with as many enormous sand dunes and long sandy beaches (more than one hundred and fifty). Even though most of the land consists of stone and rock, these are some of the most impressive beaches in the whole of Europe. Approx 98km long and 30km across at the widest point.
In the history of time Fuerteventura is generally regarded as the oldest of all the Canaries and its strange contours come from various volcanic episodes. The last eruption occurred around 7,000 years ago so you're pretty safe. Should you wish to see some volcanic activity take a trip to the neighboring island of Lanzarote, it's well worth it. See our Ferry page for details on how to get there. You can also take a short boat trip over to the small island of Los Lobos (only 6sqkm) and really get away from it all.
Water sports are very popular in Fuerteventura. Every year hundreds of surfers, windsurfers and divers descend on Fuerteventura and during July the island is host to the P.W.A world windsurfing speed and slalom event at Sotavento in the south.
There are many new attractions inviting tourists to discover different aspects of the Island's landscape and culture such as the Betancuria Museum of Archaeology and Ethnography and Tefia Craft Village to name but a few.
Caleta De Fuste
Whether during the day you wish to enjoy the sunshine, playing golf ,jet skiing round the harbour, scuba diving, whale watching, ride a camel. ride a catamaran, or simply relax on the beaches or pool Caleta caters for many different holiday experiences,
There is plenty to do for children with traditional entertainment in many of the bars and hotels. There is a sandcastle building school and 2 sheltered beaches with volleyball and football.
In the evening there is an extensive choice of things to do, whether you prefer a quiet meal in the harbour or a more lively scene in the centre of town, where there is a choice of many bars and restaurants.
