IT IS MAGICAL - private, and yet close to all Door County activities.
Sunken English courtyard with pond and massive waterfall. Breath taking views of water every where you look. Musicians and music lovers will love the 'Near perfect acoustics' in our great room - 28' vaulted ceilings with massive stone fire place - It is the best!
The home was beautiful and perfect for a girls weekend. Comfortable, beautifully decorated and had everything we needed to make for a wonderful weekend. We loved the location and enjoyed many of the towns located in Door county. The owner was responsive and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. Highly recommend!
It doesn't get much better than this. This home is so beautiful and yet so comfortable. The owner did a fabulous job with the decor in each part of the home. Many mornings of peaceful nights rest. The view at sunset is remarkable. Highly recommend this place for families too.
I have rented several vacation homes, but never have I rented one where I truly felt completely at home as I did at Camelot. We had family members from 7 months to 76 with us, and the home more than accommodated our needs. Our group came from California, Indiana and Wisconsin to enjoy Door County, which we have all been to before. While we thoroughly enjoyed all the activities that Door County has to offer and took advantage of them during the day, this time we looked forward to our evenings back at Camelot where we were able to comfortably enjoy each other in this beautiful setting. The home is phenomenal; beautifully built and designed, and the landscaping with the waterfall and bridge were a wonderful backdrop for many family pictures. The linens were very comfortable and plentiful, and the washer and dryer were great to help us keep on top of the laundry - it's nice to come home with mostly clean clothes! We ate most of our morning and evening meals at the house, where the kitchen and outside seating easily accommodated us, and we were able to enjoy the MAGNIFICENT sunsets! (Another favorite was watching the sunset from the hot tub!) The night skies were unbelievable; they seemed so much bigger and brighter than they do at home. I loved sitting on the deck and looking up at the stars, identifying the various constellations. The view of the lake over the cliff, across the Blufflands Preserve Nature Trail is amazing (thanks for sharing your binoculars, Deb!). We hiked the trail one day, which was a nice prairie walk that led to a great trek through the woods and up and down the Niagara Escarpment. We also enjoyed being able to see Camelot high up on the cliff from the road and trail head, as well as from the water when we were boating. And I have to mention that all of the kids now have a new-found interest in Merlin and wizards. ;) I honestly can't think of anything that I would change - amazing kitchen, great outdoor deck and grill, 3-car garage for our vehicles, very comfortable beds and linens, terrific bathrooms (and plenty of them!).... Thanks Deb for sharing your wonderful home with us!
This beautiful home was as advertised. I never got tired of the gorgeous views of the bay. This home is well equipped with about any kitchen gadget you may need. We had five separate families/couples and never felt cramped. I would recommend sleep masks for anyone who would like to sleep in, since there are no blinds. Deb was great to work with!
This was an amazing house for the views of the sunset and being able to sit outside and have dinner!! Just a little note for future renters It says five bedrooms and six bathrooms the layout of these bedrooms and bathrooms were a little confusing. On the main floor you have the master bedroom with its own private bath on the second floor you have one bedroom that has its own private bath the other four bedrooms so to speak share one bath and that was a little disheartening to our group. Also on the second floor two of the rooms that they call bedrooms are not really bedrooms one is a pass thru with 3 twin beds the other is a big huge area that has three double beds in it but it also has a TV and sofa It's like a big family room. There is another full bathroom with a shower in the basement but there is no bedroom down there so if you're staying on the second floor you would have to go down two flights of stairs to use that shower. Again we did make it work and there was only six of us for a bigger group it might be a little awkward.
Our family; from Wisconsin, MN, CA and PA all converged on Camelot Cliffs with ages ranging from 87 to 2. Everyone had a wonderful time. there was room for all, with plenty of places to kick back, relax, cook, eat and play. the property is absolutely gorgeous with fabulous water views and sunsets. One caution, there are no blinds on any windows, so if you like to sleep in bring eye covers. I can see why there aren't though because the views from every window are spectacular, and lying in bed looking out at the water and the stars can't be beat.
