We were high school sweethearts and have been married 33 years. We have one son, Brandon, who is 30 years old. Our home is in central Georgia.
Elaine Perkins purchased this cabin in 2003
These cabins are located in a quiet, wooded area away from the crowds but are still close to downtown Helen and all Northeast Georgia has to offer.
The hottub is located outside on the deck accented with white rope lighting which adds to the soothing, romantic setting. Get in, relax and let your troubles melt away. When its time to get out of the hottub, slip into a soft guest bathrobe. After showering, slip under the covers in the comfy king size bed upstairs and relax.....
We had a wonderful time at your cabin this past weekend. It was just right for the two of us. We had a great time in Helen and the tubing down the Chattahoochee was so much fun. You really need to do it. Thanks again - we had a wonderful time.
Elaine was very responsive and handled everything for us. The only warning is the road leading up to the cabin is a little rough, as I don't think a low profile car would make it. Definitely a 5-Star stay for us though. The cabin was clean and the fireplace and hot tub were awesome! The bed was very comfortable! We will definitely be back! Oh, and Cooper, our Dudley Lab, loved it! Thanks Elaine! - Tim & Lydia...and Cooper too!
We had a wonderful time. The cottage is small and quaint and well maintained - perfect for two - and we felt very private and secluded. Loved the hot tub.
We really enjoyed our weekend getaway in the cabins. It was very peaceful and quiet in the area. Most of the people were very friendly. The cabin was great. It was like our own little comfort space. The only thing I was concerned about was the road getting to the cabin. It was very bumpy and seemed dangerous in certain weather. Other than the road the stay was great!!!
We all enjoyed the stay and it was much more than what the pictures show
Would do it again
My wife and I stayed at this cabin for a few days several weeks ago. It's a very nice, private and cozy place. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would certainly enjoy going again sometime soon. The only con is the road in; it's really rough! I mean REALLY ROUGH!! I'm glad we decided to drive our truck rather than a car. Keep that in mind if your planning to go and check with the caretakers to see if the road has been recently filled and grated. If not, take the truck, you'll need it!
