Great romantic, private and quiet getaway

  • 5 of 5

This was a real treat for my boyfriend and I. We haven't been on a vacation for some time and spur of the moment came up with this trip. Couldn't have been better. The cabin is up in the mountains on well-maintained mountain roads. Very secluded and is a great romantic getaway. Mike the owner is wonderful. There was some Wi-Fi trouble in the area the day we arrived, but there is a landline, which is nice. Mike called to check in on us and make sure everything was fine. The place is really cute and decorated with a great cabin/woods feel. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is perfect for cooking and there is also a grill. But the best part of course is the hot tub. It is the nicest thing to just be able to jump in after a long day and relax. Plus the views during the day and the stars and the moon at night are breathtaking. Pictures cannot do any justice. (Added bonus, the hot tub was drained from the previous guest, clean and new water added. This is the only way to do this right, thanks Mike)

The only downside, if you want to call it one, is it is farther from shops and grocery stores. At night, we did not feel comfortable driving on the roads cause we are not used to it, and there are no streetlights. So my advice would be, if you are like us and don't want to drive at night on the roads, plan ahead and pick up food before the night. We did that the next day we made dinner there the next two nights, which was great. But again, this isn't really a fault. If you value privacy, a place away from the city noise, then this isn't going to be a problem. And this was something we valued more than going out to eat dinner.

Book this place, you wont be disappointed. We hope to be back again.

Perfect mountain getaway!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed 6 nights to celebrate our 2 year anniversary. We spent the week hiking and visiting surrounding towns during the day, then enjoying the peace and quiet of the property at night. The home itself is beautiful and the views are amazing! It has everything you need to feel comfortable and the owner Mike was very helpful and even reached out to make sure our visit was going well.

This was our first time renting a vacation home and we very impressed at how smooth the process was. We would recommend this rental to anyone looking for a true mountain getaway.

The cabin was beautiful and everything we hoped for on our spring break. Mother Nature threw a lot of snow our way, but that made the mountain getaway perfect. Mike was helpful as the storm came in and when we got hit with more snow he called the cabin and checked in on us. He made sure the driveway was clear for our departure and we had no problems departing. Except that we didn't want to leave. We can't wait to visit again in the summer or fall. The deck has amazing views and the hot tub was wonderful. It was a trip we won't forget (and the dogs loved it too!). Thanks Mike!

Worth much more than charged....

  • 5 of 5

The house and scenic views are tops in my book. I liked the fact I flew my drone over 5k meters plus away from the deck...DJI3 Pro.

Mike was more than responsive. The house more than clean. The views? UNSURPASSED...

We with out hesitation we will stay here again or any other property Mike manages.

Costs? Under priced!!!

Thanks Mike.....maybe next time we will meet up.

Great mountain accommodations

  • 5 of 5

This is a great "Mountain Dream Cabin." It was a getaway that we will remember for a long time. The cabin fits its surroundings, and it affords privacy that is rarely match by other rentals. Private it is, very quiet and peaceful, and simply a very relaxing environment when your desire is to get away from crowed cities, traffic, noise and the day-to-day hustle and bustles of our lives. The scenery is picturesque, and is what vacation picture postcards use as a backdrop. We spent five days and night there, and being from southeast Texas, it was just a great getaway place. Highly recommend it.

Awesome Cabin with great views

  • 5 of 5

My family and I stayed here last week and had a great time. My wife and oldest daughter enjoyed the hot tub and I spent as much time as possible on the deck taking in the views and the QUIET. The cabin was very clean and we could not have asked for more. We saw mule deer, wild turkeys and a coyote while there!
