Stunning views, Charming home
Mike was so kind and we LOVED their beautiful home so full or rich history and warmth. The views are incredible, the hummingbirds plentiful, the home comfortable. I wish we had more time to spend there as it was a busy family weekend event in SB. I guess we'll have to come back soon just to spend time in the house.
The only thing I would warn folks about is the very last section of one way road leading up to the house driveway is a narrow and winding road without any guard rails protecting you from the view below. Not a problem for my brothers and I but my parents couldn't drive it comfortably... especially at night. But we left their car just a minute away and would shuttle them up and back to their car when needed.
Great views and decks.
Great location, hospitality, and views!
Mike was a great host and the house is spectacular, perched on a mountain overlooking Santa Barbara and the Pacific. Every evening we were treated to beautiful sunsets. Definitely the place to rent if you are looking for a nice, quiet place to relax with some wine and a book. The bedrooms were comfortable, kitchen clean and well-stocked with equipment, and the appliances / HVAC / plumbing / Internet all worked fine; we had three couples plus a single person and everyone was happy and slept well. (There are some minor issues of water pressure, you can't have multiple people showering at once.) Choose your bedroom carefully if you want to sleep in, though: the master gets very sunny in the morning, while the bedrooms at the rear of the house don't. Can't wait to go back.
Loved our stay at this unique home with amazing view
Our family stayed here for a nearby wedding. The house was so much fun we wish we could have stayed longer. It has so much personality! We loved the view, the decks, the hummingbirds, and the well equipped kitchen. It was great to have the family all stay in one place and have an after wedding brunch together. Mike was a great host. We hope to stay here again.
Great house in the forest!
Michael was a very attentive and gracious host. The house was beautiful, fully stocked, and extremely enjoyable to stay in - plus it looked better than the photos. We thoroughly enjoyed the seclusion from the city and the wonderful views we were offered. The road up was a bit more narrow than I would have hoped for, but was nice nonetheless. It really felt like a home away from home and I would stay there again in a heartbeat.
Great hosts. Wonderful house.
This is Kenny's second visit to our house, so I guess he likes it. You're welcome anytime Kenny.

The drive to and from town is spectacular. Additionally, West Camino Cielo is the route of several 'cloud tours' from Santa Barbara, that bring visitors up out of the summer fog on their way to the Santa Ynez Valley Wine Country.
