Then have breakfast, read the paper or have an afternoon nap in the resort style lounge chairs on the large covered lanai (patio). The children will enjoy the private fenced yard or swimming in the ocean right outside the front door, across a beautiful lawn. Boogie boards are provided for extra fun in the water.

About Janet Lee Marlette

Aloha! I am a full time mother of two children, marketing director and property manager! It's a lot of work, but very rewarding. My favorite job is managing my beach house and making sure my guests have everything they need in their home away from home.

Janet Lee Marlette purchased this house in 2006

Why Janet Lee Marlette chose Waimanalo Beach

Waimanalo Beach is an unknown treasure. My husband spent a year remodeling this property to create a place for families to gather and experience the true essence of Hawaii on Waimanalo Beach. It is a pleasure to share this piece of Paradise with you and your family.

What makes this house unique

There are so many unique benefits to renting my home. First of all, waking up to that beautiful sunrise every morning! Wow! It never fails to amaze me. Meals at the large family table is so special and a great way to start your day. Whether you're making plans for your afternoon or talking about what you did yesterday, that table has heard some great stories! The two most favorite things at my home are the two large lanai where you can sit, relax, read a book or even take a nap! My property will help you make wonderful memories that will hopefully bring you back to us again in the future!

Great Family House!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the Waimanalo Beachfront house this past April 2018 with 11 people (7 adults, and 4 young kids). Janet was lovely to work with. She was very responsive to all of my questions both before our trip, during our stay and after departure. Janet welcomed us to the home, and periodically checked in with us to make sure we were enjoying our stay. We were happy that she was close by in case of any questions that came up. The house is right on the beach which provided us with beautiful morning walks and evening sunsets. While we were there, it was a bit stormy, so we actually ended up going for a lot of day trips to Pearl Harbor, Honolulu, Ko Olina, Hawaii Kai, Kailua, etc. Waimanalo ended up being not too far, and so the location was fine. The house was great for a large group. With our small children, we also appreciated the large enclosed yard with the secure gate. The house has lots of beach toys and chairs, which was awesome. While we were quite comfortable while we were there, we think the house could use more cups to accommodate the large groups. Besides that, the appliances are a bit dated, but for vacation - everything worked and we were comfortable. We would highly recommend the house for large groups!

Plenty of space for everyone!

  • 5 of 5

This home was so perfect for our vacation! Each family had their own space and the home is literally on a quiet beach. This was so important as the weather was less than ideal for some of the days. The home is comfortably furnished and has everything you need to make yourself at home. We were a bit concerned about not having a/c but we didn't need it. There was always a nice breeze and the windows are screened in so you can have them open with the overhead fans on.

There are really two houses. One house has a kitchen, living area, master bedroom & bath, with a huge outside lanai which attaches the two other bedrooms with a shared bathroom. The other house has a kitchen, living area, and two bedrooms with their own bathrooms. We used this house for my grandparents and my mom so they could get away from us noisier family members.

There is a nice little town, Kailua, that is about 15 minutes away that has a Target and some small shops and restaurants. The drive into Honolulu is only about 25 minutes and really was a nice drive so it goes fast.

Janet, the owner, is wonderful and friendly. You can't beat that! We will definitely come back here again.

Perfect family friendly beachfront homes!

  • 5 of 5

It was awesome! Location, location, location!

Perfect setting and accommodation for our family of 12. Rooms with washrooms for each family unit. Fenced in yard for the grandkids. Safe beach steps from the door! What more could we have wanted or needed?

Janet was very accommodating and, living right next door, was very available if required. We had boogie boards, beach towels, barbecue, and everything we needed for an 8 night stay. Beds were comfortable.

Both minivans fit in the secure garage - a bonus having indoor parking.

The outside bathroom & shower were great, especially with the grandkids!

The super large covered lanai was a great gathering place for the evening when the grandkids were in bed. A fantastic place to play games or just hang loose & chat it up!

A must to consider for a family vacation when you have a large group. Would definitely like to come back!

Mahalo Janet!

Beautiful, relaxing, just what the family needed

  • 5 of 5

It was a large family reunion. We met in Hawaii from 4 different flights and 2 different countries. The two estates fit the needs of our family of 12. From age 1 to 75, there was something for everyone. The beach is phenomenal. We were able to check out the island, learned to surf, saw some history, enjoyed family time around a great table that seated 12!!

We laughed and made memories. It was our home for the holidays and it was great.

The Lanai was our favorite spot to end the day with coffee or meet up in the morning.

Janet certainly took care of our needs and was available for any issues.

Thanks for sharing!

Spacious house

  • 5 of 5

Staying on the beach is great. The views are spectacular! The open doors for airflow was great. Landscape in the yard had cool plants and was roomy enough for us (me and other adults and kids) to play a little soccer. The kitchen had enough pots, pans, and appliances to cook. Tv was marginal, but were on vacation and who really needs a tv. There were a few things missing at first but Janet was there in a flash to supply anything with great conversation and a smile. The beach off the back of the house was good for boogie boarding with 3' to 4' waves, and our 4 to 7 year old kids played in the waves. There are beaches around the whole island that accommodate anything you want, waves, no waves, snorkeling, surfing. Overall my family had a Fantastic experience and are taking about the next trip to Oahu. Mahalo!!
