Relaxing and Rustic

Our girls (8,7,3) asked, "Daddy, are we staying in a log cabin?" We really did. Phyllis was very responsive. It was a great location near Donner Lake. We would stay there again.

Peaceful and quiet with a great homelike feel. Well maintained with two nice bedrooms. Great getaway especially if the goal is to be unplugged. Access to an amazing beach which our family loved. Thanks!

Cozy,clean and comfortable

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was just right for my wife and I to spend four days. It's cozy, clean and comfortable. The gas fireplace kept the whole cabin heated. Kitchen is the right size to meet your cooking needs. The Weber bbq came in handy.

Neighborhood was nice and quiet. Great area for going on walks. Definitely would consider staying here again.

Lovely...just perfect

  • 5 of 5

Our whole experience was superb. The cabin is super clean and so well stocked, it just makes for the perfect vacation. Moreover, Phyllis is very easy to communicate with and always available to resolve any issues (we are not from cold weather so it took us time to get used to a couple of things and she was super patient and readily available to assist us). Prime location, safe and cozy. Cant ask for more. Hope to be back!!!! Thank you

Beautiful and cozy cabin

  • 5 of 5

We decided to spend Christmas in Tahoe and found this cabin right by Donner Lake. Our stay was perfect. I was worried about getting there because of the snow storm but after putting some snow chains, we made just fine. The cabin was easy to find, very cozy and well located. I would definitely recommend this cabin.

Fabulous Winter Cabin!!

  • 5 of 5

On a somewhat short decision, we decided to find a cabin in Donner over the Thanksgiving weekend to celebrate my last chemo therapy treatment. Most of the other cabins were already booked, or the owners were occupying for the Holiday. I had no issues booking this cabin when we found it! The price was fair, the owner was wonderful to work with, and the cabin was SO well stocked when we arrived. There is everything that you could possibly need, from extra blankets to towels to cooking utensils, pots and pans etc. We did bring our own TP/PT/Kleenex so we didn't use up all of theirs and could leave the left overs.

The neighborhood was fabulous! There was a foot of snow fall just before we arrived, and the town did so well with keeping the streets and driveways plowed and we did not have to shovel the drive way like we had expected we may have to. The fireplace and base heaters took some getting used to, but once we figured them out they put a perfect warmth into the house! There are no hills to sled on in town, but I was able to pull my two year old around town on the sled, and he got enough joy out of that alone! There is a park by the lake that he loved playing at even though it was covered in snow! And we drove out about 5 miles to Borreal to sled at the snow park for only $5. I would highly recommend this cabin during the winter season! We had a fabulous stay!!
