Spacious, comfortable, centrally located
We spent five nights here in June/July and we loved it. We didn't have enough towels when we arrived, but that was remedied very quickly. Great pool, great bed, great bathrooms. Anything one might need is available in the borga, and the restaurants at the resort were great. We drove to Florence, Pisa, and several wineries while in the area. I'd advise BUG SPRAY as we were eaten alive in the evenings. Great property!
Stunning Property however........
This was not an inexpensive property to stay at and our booking was made approx 1 year in advance of our trip so its not as if it was a last minute booking and we were not expected!. We are seasoned VRBO and HomeAway vacationers and have to put in print this is the first property where we have felt very short-changed indeed. Upon arrival, it was noticed that there was a complete absence of basic domestic requirements such as toilet rolls (there were none in any of the WCs/bathrooms), there was no laundry detergent, the duvet on the Master bedroom bed had no cover on it and there was not so much as one tea towel or kitchen towel available. Only a very limited supply of toilet roll, kitchen roll and ONE tea towel was delivered to us by a member of the Sales Team when I asked for them. I followed this up again with the property owner by email who thanked me for my candour and left matters at that. So, short-changed and highly dissatisfied - that is a brief summary of how we felt upon departure.
Thank you for your review which is obviously disappointing. Let me begin by, once again, apologizing for the shortcomings in the provisioning in the apartment at the time of your arrival.
As you know, I use the Castelfalfi Concierge Service to provide cleaning, bed linen, towels and so on as well as toilet rolls, kitchen rolls etc. There were clearly inadequacies in the provision of this service ahead of your arrival and I have taken these up with the providers of the service at the time and since your stay to avoid a repetition.
I have also provisioned the apartment now with plenty of ‘spare’ items in case what is provided by the Concierge Service as part of its Service Standard is not sufficient for a holidaymaker’s stay, for whatever reason. These items include: toilet rolls, kitchen towels, washing up liquid, washing detergent for clothes, sponge scourers, liquid hand soap in dispensers, dishwasher tablets.
Regarding the issue of ‘follow up’, both myself and the Concierge Service were under the impression that your initial complaint had already been dealt with fully by the Concierge Service (the ’Sales Team’ you refer to) and that you were not expecting any ‘follow up’. The only further contact you made was towards the end of the stay when you said no further items had been provided to the apartment which surprised both myself and the Concierge Service because, as I say, neither of us had been aware that you were expecting any further items to be provided. As you were leaving, you yourself said there was ‘little point in having these supplied to us now’ so no further action was taken. Rest assured if the need for further items had been raised earlier there would have been no hesitation in providing what was required. If we have both somehow misunderstood you in all this, I can only once again apologize.
Nevertheless, I was gratified by the comment in your private email to me that “the apartment is lovely – stunning even!” Thank you for that!

Wow!! This apartment was amazing, beautifully presented with everything in it that you would need and more. Such a relaxing place with stunning views and filled with light. Great position too with the deli and gelattaria underneath, two superb restaurants and four pools. Couldn't have asked for anything more. The owner was more than helpful in all our enquiries and also the hotel linked to the apartments were really helpful if we needed assistance with directions etc. We will be returning

Beautiful , spacious apartment, lovely town
The apartment is very roomy and definitely enough space for my 4 year old to run around and explore. Apartment is modern, clean and very well kept.
The swimming pool is lovely and private. There is also the option of using the hotel swimming pool which is nice.
The locals are very friendly and there is a wine shop just conveniently below the apartment.
Highly recommend this place!
