The home met or exceeded all of our needs. Richard was easy to contact and made sure we were taken care of. We stayed in the home through Hurricane Irma - so that was an experiance.
We would love to go back to Seabrook and stay in this home again - just will pick a different time of year!
The home that we called ours for one week this summer, was everything we had hoped for and more. A beautiful house, a fabulous pool, an equipped kitchen, fit for a gourmet chef, but most of all, the owner Richard, was very accommodating and treated us like family. We hope to return in 2018.
Driving from Pennsylvania was not the best but when we arrived at Richard's house the drive was well worth it. The house is perfect for a large group. The two kitchens came in handy as we cooked most of our meals at the house. The deck was our favorite hangout and of course the pool was a big hit with the kids. All the beds were very comfortable and the shower in the master bedroom was fantastic. I believe everyone took advantage of it at least once!! Absolutely loved the setting with all the palm trees, wild life and view of the golf course.
Short drive to the beach with ample parking and great beach. If you had any questions Richard was readily available and very accommodating. The island had everything you needed from great grocery store to ice cream to shopping, boat rentals, horse back riding, etc. Just bring your clothes and enjoy!! Thank you Richard for opening your house to us.
My family gets together every summer for a "Family Vacation." There are around 15 of us coming from everywhere..Charleston, Japan, Georgia, Florida, and California, ages 3 months to 74. We go to a different destination every year. This, we all agreed, was the most beautiful, spacious house we have stayed in. The pool was wonderful and the beds so comfortable. I can't think of anything we disliked about the house. We all had a fantastic time....maybe even willing to stay there next year!
We rented this home for a mini-family reunion that included relatives from ages 7 to 84. This home was the PERFECT place for all of us who traveled from Georgia, North Carolina, and various locations in South Carolina, including Goose Creek and Summerville, SC. The owner was very responsive to our every inquiry before arriving and for the duration of our stay. We loved everything about this home, from the elevator in the garage for my senior citizens, to the pool table on the 3rd level, to the outside deck, to the hammock and the beautiful landscape. And the two Kitchens: Big Kitchen and Little Kitchen.....anyone who loves to cook, these are your dream kitchens. As my aunt said....."We can cook the devil himself, with these kitchens"; and I believe we did. :) There were a couple of minor issues, however, the owner assisted us in every way. And, although the WiFi kept going in and out, it was okay, as we all had our own personal hotspot to connect; plus, it allowed us to interact with each other the old fashioned way – talking, laughing and enjoying each others company. We just viewed it as being on a Technology Fast!!! :) The young adults enjoyed their bike ride to the beach, while most of the older family members chose to drive or walked there. We’re definitely planning to return maybe, in between our regular family reunion.
The only negative thing I can say is that the pictures doesn’t do any justice to this home. You’ll have to experience it for yourself and watch the sunrise from deck!
We stayed at this wonderful property from 8/17/13 - 8/24/13. We decided this year that we would have a family vacation here on Seabrook Island because we have relatives that live on Seabrook. We had been to visit Seabrook many times, but we were never able to get all of us together at one time on Seabrook. Well this house made that happen for us.
The house was a great size for 6 families. It had plenty of space and bathrooms for the ultimate in comfort for so many people. Also, the kitchen was well appointed. In fact, we had a family cook off each night and we were never lacking for enough dishes, flatware, glasses, pots + pans and even spices to make for 4 fabulously home-cooked gourmet meals.
The only hiccup was that the pool pump was broken when we arrived. The owner answered his cell phone on Sunday morning and made sure the pool company was there on Monday. A part had to be ordered to fix the pool. By Wednesday, the pool was up and running for our Family Pool Party on Wednesday night. Yes, it was frustrating to have a problem with the pool, but things happen. The most important thing to our families was that the owner was responsive and resolved the issue as quickly as he could. We really appreciated that.
So, long story short....This is the place to stay on Seabrook Island if you have have a big family and you want to have alot of Family Fun!
Beach, golf, bike, tennis, fish or relax at the pool.
