Favorite place to stay in Ruidoso!

  • 5 of 5

This was our second time to stay at Lazy Dog Lodge. It truly feels like a home away from home. They have everything thing you need from towels to toiletries. The hot tub is a family favorite! Thanks for helping our family vacation to be so peaceful. Deer even stopped by to welcome us!

Loved the house!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time. The house was cozy! We loved the backyard and the side yard for our dog. It was great having a hot tub to get into after a day on the slopes!

Clean, but with a bad smell

  • 4 of 5

Overall, the house was clean. It had everything we needed, and we got to enjoy a movie while we were there. The only problem we had was a very strong, bad smell. I slept upstairs, and at first, I almost couldn’t sleep. It’s a very strong odor, and I do think they need to do something about it. The house could use some updates, but other than that, our stay was pleasant and we had everything we needed. Thank you!

Owner's Response: Dear Jackie - Thank you for your review. We have investigated the odor issue and have been working with a local pest control service to eliminate this problem. We have discovered the source and believe it has been rectified . We will continue to monitor this situation until completely satisfied that it has been corrected. We hope you will consider stay with us again in the future. Lazy Dog Lodge

Cozy and Quiet

  • 4 of 5

Although it says it is walking distance to downtown, it is a bit of a hike, and finding a taxi was not easy in Riudosa. The house slept 6 comfortably, and the back yard and dog run were perfect for our dog. The kitchen utinsils were a bit old, but everything you could need in a kitchen was there. The grill, fireplace, and hot tube all worked perfectly. Very happy with our decision to stay here.

Holiday Stay

  • 3 of 5

The cabin was conveniently close to town and Ski Apache. The fenced in backyard and side were great for a pet. The only issues we had were the twin beds that were very uncomfortable to sleep on and had me waking up with a back ache each morning and the large overhead light in the kitchen would spark every once in awhile so we kept it off for fear of a possible fire. The kitchen light definitely needs to be looked into. We also had the mothball / skunk smell in the back bedrooms on the bottom floor.
